Title: Son of Man
Post by: EmJayBee83 on September 12, 2012, 06:48:28 AM
Son of Man
Lamb
SA: Negate all special abilities on Lost Soul cards. Rescue one Lost Soul from any land of bondage (including holder's).
Identifier: Cannot be included in a deck containing Son of God.
Luke 19:10

This may be a bit OP.  ;)

Nice! You can rescue your own soul, and New Jerusalem can't combo with it!

Have to say this seems very awesome to me. I really like the idea!

Love it. Would totally play it over the standard Sog/Nj combo. Rescuing your own lost souls is a huge advantage.

What would happen if the 3-liner is tapped in your own territory and you save that one?

AWESOME Idea now if we could only get it to be a real card :)

I still don't think you could rescue it yourself since you didn't rescue it the first time.  Interesting thought.

The 3 liner would be negated though right?

I really like this. Along with MKC, I'd definitely use this over SoG/NJ combo because it's good and takes up one less dominant slot.

I really like this card, and I know something similar had been kicked around awhile ago, just without a different name.  The option to rescue ANY soul but have one less dom rescue while saving a dom slot is all very interesting for strategy.

My suggestion though would be to make the identifier read: "Same card as Son of God."

Then you'd be able to play NJ off of it.

That's his point.

However, I believe this combined with NJ is too much power for any single deck. The idea (as I understood it) was to make a more powerful SoG and add some variances in doms (getting around two of last year's mid-season rulings).

I like it and you would have even more variety for dom usage in decks.

For me this would be an auto-include in T2-2P. I would probably lean towards traditional SoG/NJ in T2-MP.

My point wasn't to have it used with NJ still, my bad ;)

I guess it would be more like: "Same card as Son of God for deck-building," though my idea had been to try and make the identifier not as cumbersome.

"Same unique card as Son of God" would be the way to go. That way, New Jerusalem still can't work with it (because any card referencing Morg wouldn't work for Morgan), you still can't have both in a deck, and most importantly, you can't have SoG in one Teams deck and SoM in the other and successfully use both in one game.

Great points especially the part I italicized.
