Son of God Reprint (Dual Type)

With inspiration from this thread, I decided to make a new version of Son of God that makes New Jerusalem more useful now that we have TSC.

IIRC we have been told there would not be a character card printed for Jesus.

The direction is very interesting, and I liked the thought once I got through it all, though there is a lot going on and it would probably need to be a little more focused and have fewer abilities.

I was thinking this same thing, since Jesus can never be defeated, and characters in this game can be defeated, he should always be a Dominant... and the best one at that ;]

If this gets printed I am making a 100 card T2 deck with multiple New Jerusalem sites and the NJ dominant. How about using AotL 4 times? Or 3, plus two LS from SoG + NJ. How about combos involving making Covenant of Eden CBN and getting free rescues with a recurred SoG?

Even though this card will never be printed, here are a few tweaks for fun  ;)

The identifier needs to be reworded to say "If this card rescues a Lost Soul, remove it from the game Regardless of all abilities".

The ability could be fixed  to "At any time, you may remove your New Jerusalem Dominant in hand, discard, or set-aside from the game to search a location for a good card."

How about this version. I got rid of the "X = the # of Lost Souls" part to shorten the identifier and combined the second and third to last sentences since they really do the same thing.

This way you are still limited to either 2 rescues and AoTL, SoG (Played as Dom) + NJ + AoTL, or 1 rescue and 2 AoTL, SoG (Played as Hero) + AoTL + NJ (Removed) to recur AoTL.

I find that sad since that means that there will never be a way to truly personify the fact that Jesus was both God and man in game. Besides, this isn't JUST a character card. ;)

That's why I added the phrase, "If . . . Hero enters battle, rescue a Lost Soul." That way, whether you play it as a dominant or a hero you're still going to get 1 free Soul. The biggest difference is that you can't play TSC to use it twice.

This isn't quite true...  In T2, or even an adventurous T1 deck, you can include a bunch of lesser good Dominants and convert them to AotLs.  I considered suggesting this ability, but then rejected it on those grounds  ;)

That's why I changed it to have a limit of "Once per game . . ." ;)

What if we made a Hero card for Jesus as the Son of Man, and have the ability be something like he sacrifices Himself in order to rescue a lost soul?

Discard this card for three turns. At the end of the third turn return this card to territory to rescue all available lost souls.
