Welcome to the Official Redemption® Message Board!
Yeah, there's no way you can have anything active in the discard pile. Even if it's an abilifier.Third card is broken. Although I like the idea of being able to skip drawing, it would get out of hand. I simply wouldn't draw again after I got Son of God and the Shuffler, and then I'd win because you can't rescue anything if I don't draw anything. I'd merely discard the character I got back every turn.
Good FortressDuring the start of your preparation phase, you may discard 2 cards to roll a die. Apply the appropriate abilities:1-2: Discard an evil card in play or set aside3-4: Draw 3 cards5-6: Discard one card at random from your opponent's hand.
Gray Evil Character10/12, Warrior ClassIf you have an evil character in battle and have initiative, you may remove all other cards in your discard pile (minimum 5) to add this card from your discard pile to the battle. Then, discard a good enhancement in play.
Evil FortressDuring your draw phase each turn, you may choose to add an evil character of */* greater than 6/6 from your discard pile to your hand instead of drawing 3 cards.
To make the character work, just have an identifier that says it works when its in the discard pile, something like:"Male, Human, This characters ability can only be activated from the discard pile"Identifiers work in the discard pile, my characters don't lose their humanity if they are in the discard pile or cease being generic after they are discarded.I love the evil fortress, although it may be overpowered, I would put a limit or put a cost, or at least consider it.

Otherwise, I could activate Lampstand on my Temple that I haven't drawn or is discarded.Identifiers tell what a card IS (such as male, human, babylonian...the unchangable things). That would not be an identifier.I agree that it'd be cool to have an abilifier work from discard pile, but I don't know a way which it could be done. Draw pile would never work, since there's no way to prove it's in your deck...
Make part of the ability that when this card is to be discarded set it aside and have the ability only active when its set aside.
