Recently I had an idea for an EE and a Fortress card, and I thought Crucifixion was very appropriate for such a card.
Evil Enhancement
- four brigades to help boost the current human NT ECs. I thought that maybe it could just be gray and black to represent Romans, Pharisees and Sadducees (and possibly crimson for what crimson represents: persecution), but I figured I'd just go with four brigades to cover all of the evil NT human themes, and that gold (Heroes) could use a boost
- 7 strength to make it like a new Pain that can be tossed with Coliseum, which having Coliseum would be quite appropriate with this card!
- it can target a hero or EC, since crucifixion was used as not only a means of retribution and punishment to bring the population in line, but it was also used as a form of capital punishment for criminals...and all of this with RoP.
Fortress
- Since this was the Romans' main form of execution, the Fort side would best be used with a Roman theme.
- The reason for a human Hero in opponent's territory being targeted for discard (instead of any human like the EE side) is it is kin to the Romans retaliating against Heroes for trying to save Roman citizens within the Roman Empire
- the identifier is interesting in that it represents the many people that were typically crucified together (like the card image). It would also help prevent opponent's hero recursion from the discard pile
Some of the wording/punctuation is a bit off, and no scripture was quoted due to making it all fit in the box.
Enjoy!
