From the start, right when i first saw Simon the Zealot, i immediately thought, "Why is he not warrior class!?" plus, he needs a better ability.
so, here is what i think a reprint of him should look like. feedback is welcome.

(Edit

Ok, i'll agree, his ability is way to powerful. ) ;D

His ignore ability is too powerful as he cannot be blocked by roughly half the evil characters in the game. If you still want him to function similarly, I would make his ignore ability even more specific.

In his prior life, he was a rebel/warrior, but when Jesus called him, he became a disciple who followed a leader of love, not of the sword.

I really like the current version of Simon, as the hand/deck protection ability is very strong.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

I don't disagree that Jesus DEFINITELY did not want the disciples to fight, but the disciples still were up in arms when Jesus was taken away, and were carrying weapons and only hesitated to use them to ask Jesus' permission.

Luke 22-
49 "When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?” 50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear."

Jesus did stop them before anyone else got hurt, but notice that they were all ready to fight. the fact that simon was someone who probably knew how to use a sword very well, considering he had been a rebel/terrorist and was probably carrying one with him most of the time, in my opinion, enforces that he should be warrior class.

The point is Jesus changed him and Simon is represented in the game as a hero who has been changed by Christ. We don't want to represent his sinful state on a card where he is a hero.

It really comes down to an opinion. We don't know if Jesus changed him or not, its an educated guess. Jesus didn't change all of his disciples. So making the card either way, I'm thinking, would have worked. More seriously (and honestly), I don't really care if Simon the Zealot  "saved" souls or killed Romans after the resurrection, because that's also how love can manifests itself in the diverse Kingdom of Heaven.
