David’s Mighty Men (FF)

Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 5 / 2 • Class: None • Special Ability: If used by a warrior class Hero, discard a warrior class Evil Character. Cannot be negated. • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon, Connected with David • Verse: II Samuel 10:7 • Availability: Faith of our Fathers booster packs (None)

No really, how do the the Redemption heroes stack up to the bible

Adino (Ki)

Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 6 / 6 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: If Adino is holding a spear he gains 3/3 and prevents all special abilities except banding on non-weapon class enhancements. • Play As: While Adino is holding a spear increase ability 3/3 and prevent all special abilities on enhancements (except banding and weapon-class). • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: II Samuel 23:8 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Common)

8 These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite, because he had killed eight hundred men at one time.

Or this:

Eleazar (Ki)

Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Green • Ability: 7 / 2 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Weapon class enhancements used by Eleazar cannot be negated or discarded during battle. • Play As: Weapon class enhancements used by Eleazar cannot be negated. Protect them from discard during battle. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: II Samuel 23:10 • Availability: Kings

2 Samuel 23:9-10
New King James Version (NKJV)
9 And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo,[a] the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel had retreated. 10 He arose and attacked the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword. The LORD brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to plunder.

And:

Shammah (Ki)
Type: Hero Char. • Brigade: Yellow • Ability: 5 / 2 • Class: Warrior • Special Ability: Hero is immune to male Philistines. • Identifiers: OT Male Human, Fought Earthly Battle • Verse: II Samuel23:12 • Availability: Kings booster packs (Common)

2 Samuel 23:11-12
New King James Version (NKJV)
11 And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines. 12 But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So the LORD brought about a great victory.

the group card makes sense, but i think that they aren't strong enough

Eleazar
8/3 green/red Hero
Weapon class enhancements used by Eleazar cannot be negated. Discard a philistine(except a giant) in play. May band to the three

Adino
8/5 Red hero
when blocked by a Warrior class Evil Character, negate all non weapon class enhanchments. Immune to Gold brigade.
may band to the three

Shammah
9/4
immune to philistines. Negate Special abilites on warrior clsss Evil Characters and Weapons.

Wait... what's the point of this post? I'm not sure if you're saying that they aren't getting the credit they deserve or if you think their abilities don't match what they did in the Bible. Could you clarify please? I like the new abilities though, I would agree that all of them (except maybe Shammah) need a reprint.

But cards are always 100% accurate? Remember when Thaddeus totally defended all the disciples by shoving them all in that building that one time? Or when he whipped a shield out of nowhere and protected everyone that other time? But when it was just him and whats-his-name, no one else within a hundred miles, he totally failed?
Or when Hur... when Hur... What did Hur do that gave him that agian?

My point is, David's dudes weren't the only ones who aren't completely accurate.

P.S. If you look at the Bible, isn't Thad usually the whats-his-name who almost never gets mentioned?
ANB is good. Change my mind.
