Renewing the fun of a battle phase?

Territory Class
"Place in your territory. All special abilities with the words 'cannot be negated' have no effect. Negate all negate abilities on characters."

It can be removed with like 100000000 different cards, but could help create an actual battle phase again.

Right, that's of course a possiblity. But there are a LOT of cards nowadays that you can't do anything to, and this is what this would solve. Everything else has some kind of counter.

In order to get it to do what you want, you'll need to add a place ability.

Not sure if "All cards" is a legal target, if not you have to add "Protect all cards in play, hands, decks, set-aside, land of redemption and discard piles from..."

Would this stop dominants? They're only technically CBN.

Would this ability include cards that say quote, "Cannot be negated?" Because that's the main thing that frustrates me with Redemption, if it cannot be interrupted I can prevent it, and if it can't be prevented I can interrupt it. But cannot be negated doesn't really have a counter, except immunity, which then gets negated.  ;)

The other thing is, I don't want to negate their whole ability, just the part that negates. So if they attack with Ishmaiah banded in, I don't want him to be negated, just the ability that negates evil character abilities.

So now I can play the new dominate: Negater off Angel of the Lord.
No cards that negate target dominents, so that would be impossible.

I'll consider this. Maybe we should make both cards.

Well, part of me was being facetious.  The card is a little over-the-top, but the proposed new ability would be good.  Instead of "until end of game", it could say "for N turns" or something.  And even though no other abilities could activate, any ongoing abilities already in play would be unaffected.  Now that I'm talking it out more I'm really liking that ability:

"May not activate."
