Israel's Perception of Canaan site

This site represents the Land of Canaan in the eyes of the Israelites who walked in unbelief. So in a sense its the perception of Canaan in Numbers 13:32.

And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

Whenever your evil character blocks an OT Hero at this site, your evil characters get +*/4 and OT Heroes get -4/* until end of battle.

Not 100% with the name or mechanic but you get the idea. It could even be a generic site and use the verse for a cool mechanic.

It would have to have some limit on what evil characters were effected by it. Having ANY EC use its ability would be WAY overpowered.

A simple solution is to make it so that when caananites block an OT hero at this site, etc. etc.
I think that's a cool idea, I'd like it for my deck with caananites!

I'm not sure it would be overpowered at all, since it relies on a rescue from an OT hero and it will only work for certain EC because it loses you initiative.  I'm not sure that this is a card that would see much use because of that last part, but also because of its limited effectiveness.

However, the ability would read:
While an O.T. Hero is in battle during a rescue attempt at this site, your Evil Characters increase */4 and OT Heroes decrease 4/*.

You could make is so that you may use the ability, to make it better. Also its good for discarding heroes with toughness 4 or less, assuming they don't negate site, or have a card that can.

Writing */X means in/decreasing just the toughness by X, X/* means in/decreasing just the strength by X, and X/X means in/decreasing both by X.  The current wording increases the EC by 4 toughness only and decreases the Heroes by 4 strength only.  It will not decrease the toughness of Heroes, so no discard.

This would be way OP with a toss deck. I would make it so that only Canaanites benifit from this site.

Whoops, that's why you read things twice, I thought it said to decrease a hero */4.

3/7 Gomer to 10/16 KoT and your attack is -4.

Only if an OT Hero is in battle.  And only if a soul is in the site.  And only if they have access to the site.  And only if they have access to the soul in the site.

And only if the opponent CHOOSES for all of the above to be true (since they know it is out) unless somehow ALL of their Heroes have site access, or are ALL that brigade, AND all of them are OT.

I'm not convinced it would be as usable as people think.

Two thumbs up. I love this idea.

I agree with Redoubter that this would not be OP (and IMO adding this much thematic content in one card would be worth it regardless).

My only (really minor) suggestion would be to add "Cannot be negated unless Joshua or Caleb is in play."

I really liked the feedback that this site would only benefit Canaanites. So far they seem pretty underpowered.

As a Canaanite player, that's definitely not true ;)  Particularly in T2, but even in T1 (especially when paired with Phillies).

Yes indeed! I used to have a mean philly/canaanite hybrid. It was fun.
