Raiders
10/5 Gray generic male warrior-class evil character
Negate all protection from capture. Search draw pile for Raider's Camp and put in play. Cannot be prevented.
Judges 2:14
"In his anger against Israel the LORD gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist."

I'm not sure the point of its first ability (unless it's supposed to last the whole battle) since the interrupt would end after you search and put RC in play.

Possible card art:

Good point. I assume my revision to "Negate" does what I intended? Basically, I want them to be able to capture characters like Lydia, Phinehas, Watchful Servant, etc (since their protection has been removed by God, according to the verse).

The change to negate will do what you want. I like it, but wouldn't it be Syrian?
-
I wouldn't object to it being Syrian, but in the context of the verse that I used it does not have to be Syrian.
-
Right, I was thinking grey capture rather than the Bible. Time to go do penance...

If you could find a reference to Syrian raiders, that'd be better. Solid card, although it's been done before.

I think it was done before by me, because you asked for my permission to print it I think :) I'm sure there's a reference that could make it Syrian.

Aww, I thought this was going to be a Raiders of the Lost Ark set...
-
I think a 10/6 is too much, since they're generic and aren't really talked too much about in scripture it should perhaps be an 8/6.

Well, when I think of "raiders" coming through to sweep people off and "loot" everything, I would think you need a fair amount of power to do that. Being generic and plural, it's supposed to represent an entire band of raiders. But I'm not hung up on the numbers. Another reason for the higher power is to give initiative back to the hero. Make these numbers too low (for inititative) and I fear that it makes them a little overpowered.

Please change the title to Raiders. The top posts needs to be "Raiders" "Of the Lost" "Ark"
