Title: Quite sure others thought of this before
Post by: stefferweffer on February 24, 2012, 12:14:58 PM
I'm of the opinion that defense still needs help.

Would there be anything broken about an evil equivalent to "Faith in Our High Priest"?

Something like a 0/0 Multi-color EE that says your next EE cannot be negated?

It would probably be the end of FBTN banding in T1... whether that's good or not is a matter of opinion.

Asherah Pole makes EEs CBN against OT heroes, that's the closest thing they have right now.

I once had an idea for something like this:
Satan's Strength
Rainbow EE -/-, TC
"Place in territory: Anytime during battle, you may discard this and reveal an evil card from hand or territory. The next time a card with the revealed title is played, it cannot be negated."

I like it. It would certainly hurt FBTNB, but it probably would only be used in large defenses. This+Wrath would be fun :D.

I like it, a CBN wrath would be an awesome counter to Sammy and friends.

The only evil thing in the bible I could think of that could not be negated was Jesus' death, and I think I found a good verse for it too.

The Power of Darkness (or This is Your Hour)
0/0 Multi-Color Evil Enhancement
Your next evil enhancement cannot be negated.

"When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness."  Lk.22:53

To make it distinct from FioHP, you could run it this way:

"Place in territory: any time your Evil Character has initiative, you may Discard this card. The next Enhancement you play Cannot be Negated."

I had thought about TC, but it seems to make it more vulnerable to being removed before it can be used.

As Pol worded it, you could still use it pretty much the exact same way, but you also have the option of cocking it, setting it down, and firing it later.

I really like this idea.  Quick question though, wouldn't the SA have to interrupt the battle, otherwise it wouldn't be able to used during special initiative?

As others said, having the options this would present would be interesting, and I also like the verse picked out.
