Title: Principalities and Powers
Post by: stefferweffer on October 11, 2010, 10:01:48 AM
0/0 Orange evil enhancement

Discard all good set aside cards and their contents, regardless of protection, except The Name of the Lord.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."  Eph.6:12

Looking for an alternative to Darius' Decree?  Seems like it would work, and makes sense that it's orange.

Sort of, although this is more sweeping - discarding evil cards and good, and not just characters :)

I've seen some, but I admit that not many do.  I mainly threw the ALL in there to give a slight moment of pause to the player of this card, just in case they were using evil set asides.  Sort of had in mind that those powers don't get always get along too well with themselves either :)

WAY OP. Discard all cards in set-aside for no cost? And it's TC? And the SA doesn't really match the name or verse when it's a cool verse? No thanks.

It only seems WAY OP when you actually face someone that uses set asides.  Against all those decks that don't use one set aside card this would be a worthless card.  If you remove the TC (which I just did per your suggestion), to remove some of its power, then you pretty much ruin its ability to get those heroes set aside for one turn from cards like First Fruits and Pentecost, because they will not be set aside when you are blocking.

As to the verse matching the ability, exactly what do we think should be able to touch set aside cards?  It seems to me that only demons could accomplish this, and thus a "wrestling against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" seems pretty appropriate to me personally.

Based on the OP nigh untouchable set aside cards that have been made, it seems to me that it is time for some counters.
