Really like Rebekah...I'm not sure she needs "regardless of protection." If the opponent's hand is protected, you just draw instead, that's not a bad option usually. I think you could then make it "Cannot be interrupted" so that the optimal play is to use the Isaac/Rebekah band. This would give Genesis a Jair-type Hero with a better potential (draw 3 instead of 2) but more difficult to set up (need Animals in play plus Isaac or Abraham to band her in).

What was wrong with the Mary that was increased 3/3 in December?

it's just too powerful in my opinion. i honestly think it should be banned. this just seems like a more suitable reprint.

I like Deborah, though I think it should say something like:

"Search deck for Barak and put him in play. May exchange this Hero with Barak in territory, or you may play Deborah's Directive when blocked."

I also like Rebekah, though the underdecking from hand is brutally strong if you pull it off. I might make it underdeck one random card, instead of X.

Mary is pretty underwhelming. For your amusement, this was my take on her and Joseph from way back (rather than posting the link, as I don't want to revive a nearly 7 year old thread):

My how the times fly.

The Queen of Heaven imagery associated with so many depictions of Mary is unsettling.

Oh yeah, she could pass for a Jewish teen in that depiction! I acknowledge I'm over-sensitive to conflation of Mary with Isis/Hera/Asherah because I've only known about that particular perversion for a few weeks.
