Not sure if these cards are being commented on currently, but as a T2 player, I just wanted to throw out there just how terrifying and broken this card is.  To start with, he can pull from my deck RTC x4, plus 4 more times with Abe's Kid to put it back in deck, and on the bottom at that (where it is safe and ready for another pull without being drawn).  If somehow I drew all of those and they aren't available for the search (unlikely), I can instead play Obedience of Noah x4 out of my deck to block with a nobody, or Numerous as the Stars to get everyone out and Zebulon ignore.

Also given the Answer to Prayer x4 and multiple copies to get him out in the first place, he will make Genesis unstoppable.  By giving him CBP, you stop the Confusion of Mind from having any effect, though at least CwD still restricts the play.  The only ways to stop him are with CM (only 1, he will be back), out-of-battle capture (can prevent these with your own artifacts that are standard in Genesis decks currently), or Hezzy's Bling (destructible)/Nazareth (can't be used in most T2 decks because the better decks all search).  Once you get him out (which with 4 copies, 4 Answers, and some Angel at Shur for good measure will happen by turn 3 if you're very unlucky), only a true spread (not multi-colored like Magicians, spread as in two different themes with characters that share no brigades) have any chance of stopping him.  And even then I will CTB and use other nasty battle-winners to overcome you.

That is T2, of course, but in T1 he's good for essentially 2 free rescues and is a beast in general.

I would not recommend any card being able to have a blanket search-and-play like he is currently printed with.  There is a reason Jacob is the most powerful Genesis character in T2 currently, and this guy takes that power and knocks it out of the park by not requiring you to have the card in hand already to play.

Your getting pretty good at making cards with the new design!

Only comment I have is I dont like having the set name at the bottom of the card... I guess its just a bit distracting to my eyes.

We will revise this card further to prevent this kind of abuse. Apologies since I have never played T2. :)

Understandable, it's hard to think through the differences in strategy when you don't play it.  I don't get a lot of nuances of T1 anymore because I haven't played it competitively in a long time.  For example, to me, if I'm playing against Genesis I blow up Jacob any chance I get and fear Joseph/Benjamin a lot less (well...a little less).  In T1, there are more battle winners with the little guys, so it is different.

I would suggest that I don't see this card as being balanced for T1 either, but again as I don't play it much, I'll leave others to comment on that part.  I just know it would become more hated than AutO in T2 ;)

He's basically just a much better Jacob, and Jacob is already very good.

Agreed.  Jacob needs a second card (Answer to Prayer) to do what this does in one.  Way too powerful in my opinion.  It might be better to look at working in some more Genesis hand control stuff with Abraham, instead of focusing on pure battle winning.  Perhaps something like "Give your opponent a Genesis site to make him discard a card from hand (or two if a Genesis angel is in play)."  Kind of goes with how he split the land with Lot.  Or, if you want to keep a search involved, search for a Genesis hero and add to territory.  Maybe battle.  That'd be a distinction to make in playtesting.

Suggestion: Have him search for a Genesis 12-24 card and add it to battle. That way, no Obedience and no RTC, among other things (although Answer to Prayer would still present an issue). Also, he could bring Sarah, Isaac, Lot, Angel at Shur, Melchizedeck, Rebekah, or Covenant of Abraham into battle, presenting a lot of fun possibilities.

If he can search for answer to prayer he's still a major problem in Type II, since it lets him play 4x pre-block RTC

Indeed.

If I were to make him, I would have him negate and protect Lost Souls from evil cards. In other words, give him a simple yet useful ability that the Genesis theme doesn't already have. :2cents:

Also, Abraham was a prophet.  I suggest Blue/Green with no play ability (since he could use Hidden Treasures).

+ 1.  With Blue/Green Abraham.

What would be cool is something to do with the Sodom/Gomorrah story...  Like "If an occupied Genesis site is in play and X > 9, protect humans and lost souls from discard abilities and evil enhancements" where X = the number of Genesis heroes in play.  That would actually make the battles pseudo-FBTN if X was 10 or higher.  But it would be broken in T2.

I completely agree.  We don't need to be printing everyone who was ever a prophet in Green.  There is no story in the bible that was actually shaped by Abraham being a prophet, but they are all shaped by his role as The Patriarch.  This is why he fits perfectly in Blue, and a printing in Green would weaken the character biblically.

Honestly, I love the idea of LS negation/protection (but not protecting humans, we don't need more Gideons out there).  You're right, there isn't any of that currently in Genesis, and if you make him big enough, he's not going to get initiative anyway to play one of the many battle-winners in Genesis.  That means he turns into a great add to the deck that adds strategy and abilities without actually creeping the power of Genesis too terribly.

And never gets played because it's horrible. The original version was very overpowered, however I could pretty much never see my self playing a 10/11 blue faithful servant who bands to Sarah/Issac.

Negating LS is not something Faithful Servant does, nor can Faithful Servant protect LS from evil cards.  The abilities are not currently in a Genesis theme, and with a Sarah reprint this card would see use.  We don't need to print every card to be the next amazing card that goes in every deck, but adding abilities to themes where they don't exist is generally good.

Besides, currently in the Genesis theme you really only have Jacob and Sons. Abe and other characters connected with him would help expand the theme.

The best block right now is discarding to protect/shuffle LS. If you can turn that off that's extremely powerful without being too much. In addition, shutting off LS is also great in an all OT theme for obvious reasons. Faithful Servant is never used only because he doesn't fit in any specific theme and he doesn't protect from Uzzah, Failed Objective, or Bel's Banquet.

Being Sarah's husband and the one who took her with him when God called, it would be more appropriate for him to have the band.  We can't worry about him being weakened by the existence of one card and change around the story if it can be helped ;)

Faithful Servant is never used only because he doesn't fit in any specific theme and he doesn't protect from Uzzah, Failed Objective, or Bel's Banquet.

Or negate LS, which is almost as important (especially with the new set) and distinctly lacking in Blue.
