It would be nice to have just one thread for all this, especially since the user-made expansion seems to have died.
I figure that if I failed hard enough at this sort of thing, people would learn from my mistakes. Nooooope. It would be nice to have just one thread for all this, especially since the user-made expansion seems to have died.
Should I go through the list of community driven iniatives that have failed or is mentioning the wiki enough for you to remember we aren't very good at group projects?
Well, nobody is clamoring to win NE regionals next season if that's what you mean.
Hey, how do you guys feel about an Alaskan state tournament next season? I hear you can see Russia from there. They've already demonstrated their inability to understand the Bible, so that qualifies them for OD.
I think the reason pol doesn't post rc cards is because people are constantly creating new ones and they don't take any time to make. Why is that not a reason to post them? Sure, I could walk to Nats, which would be a lot harder, and have the same end result, but it'd be pointless. Redemption Connect! extended the ability to make cards for everyone, even those who weren't gifted with the talent of Photoshop. Why exclude them?
I think the reason pol doesn't post rc cards is because people are constantly creating new ones and they don't take any time to make.This. The player-made cards thread is a relic from pre-Connect when making cards was a difficult process only a few people could do. There were few enough in existence to justify copy/pasting individual URL's into labeled spoiler tags, and there was merit enough in making a card to warrant a fancy display. I'm not going to spend half a day copy/pasting 100 random Spartans and their weapons.
It is two of those things.Would you mind explaining it to those of us who aren't privy to your mind? Right now I see a select group who is allowed access to a "special" stickied thread.
You may not see the reason, but I do.
Here in New Card Design, I would argue that that would mean maintaining the archives of well-designed cards and keeping everything looking organized...If the moderator doesn't want to "spend half a day copy/pasting 100 random Spartans and their weapons," then I'd argue that they should step down from that position and let a responsible individual who is willing to keep things organized moderate the board instead.I think there is a difference between maintaining archives of "well-designed" REDEMPTION cards, and maintaining archives of "100 random Spartans". I would hope that Pol would be willing to go through the RC cards and pick out ones that he finds to be at least possible cards for Redemption's future, but we're NOT going to be making any Spartans :)
