Going back to an old idea

I was thinking back to a post made that was about a new version of Guardian of Your Souls, since I rarely see him used any more.

They had that new version being used and would be able to protect from burial and FA.

Instead I thought of this:
"Place in Territory, While active, this card protects against lost souls in your land of Redemption from Falling away, and if a lost soul is being discarded you may discard this card and 2 heroes in your territory instead"

Thought that it could be also used to protect against discarding from souls in someone elses deck accidentally.

I would argue that this is actually weaker than the original Guardian of your Souls because it's sitting in your territory rather than in your Land of Redemption, and is therefore significantly more vulnerable to being discarded (or otherwise taken out of play) than classic Guardian is in your Land of Redemption and I don't think the secondary ability is enough to make it worthwhile (especially because it has to discard itself for it's secondary ability).

Only 2 cards can target it in your territory, Abom, and a Babys one that I haven't seen in a deck in years, and you don't have to discard it, and actually it could be:

"Place in Territory, While active, this card protects against lost souls in your land of Redemption from Falling away, and if a lost soul is being discarded you may discard this card, or another dominant from hand, and 2 heroes in your territory instead"

Priests of Zeus can also do it. But you seem be right that there aren't very many cards, but I'm expecting that to be changing soon anyway as more cards will say things like "Discard a good card" or other such things similar to how many good cards have abilities like "Discard an evil card".
