We already have Lampstand and GoYS. Falling Away doesn't need another counter. Falling Away has the important task of making T1 more competitive, by possibly giving a defensive player another possible turn to stave off a high-powered offense. A first turn FA (before your opponent gets his Guardian) can often mitigate a bad defensive draw as well.
I would go more along these lines:
Barnabas
11/9 Blue Hero
May band to Paul or Mark. Protect converted Evil Characters from evil discard and conversion abilities while Barnabas is in play.
Similar idea, but A) more useful if you have GoYS/your opponent has already used Falling Away and B) Not a counter to Falling Away.
