Temporal Flux
Good Dominant
"Select your card. You may change its brigade, convert it, remove a descriptive identifier, add a descriptive identifier, change its testament, and rearrange its abilities (total abilities must remain the same)."
~Revelation 6:14

This card would be amazing for any theme deck. For the cost of a Dom slot, you can make any card in the game on-theme. Lack of good Musicians got you down? BAM! now you have a 7/1 white Pharisee/Musician who can play first and draw. Or perhaps you'd like to enjoy a 13/1 Purple Sapphira boosting your Disciple Count and Female Hero count? Not enough Babylonians to float your Head of Gold? Did I mention King of Tyrus is a Crimson Babylonian now? Or that he's 1/23? Maybe you really want to use a Fortress, but you have some dude sinning destructively. Put all his abilities in offense and then rescue with whomever you want!

This card is predicated on the notion that the fourth dimension is time, which leads to the belief that when the Bible talks about the heavens being rolled up, it is referring to God influencing time (the heavens are three-dimensional, in order to roll them up you must roll into the fourth dimension). From a gameplay standpoint I think it could be amazing. Not necessarily a staple, and somewhat automatically balanced by occupying a Dom slot, but a card that has incredible potential for combos in just about every deck. It's also perfect for creating a Paul that can get initiative, which fits perfectly with the theme of the card.

Should it be and/or? That would make it more useful.

Want.

Good luck.
ANB is good. Change my mind.

Yeah, it's and/or because "you may X, Y and Z" means each is optional.

I can't even imagine how broken this could end up being in combo decks.

Although this is interesting I have to agree with Alex

Just think of the possibilities with Neb and purple neb enters as a hero and searches for acop
JMM is a modern day prophet

First reaction: ...uuuugh.
Second reaction: I reeeally like the concept!
Third reaction: Too bad it's too OP :(

I would love to see a card with something along these lines, but perhaps without the identifiers stuff.  Maybe just brigades and abilities would be more balanced without making everything confusing beyond all reason.  But I could see this sort of thing working well as a good card :)

Since negative numbers are possible in Redemption, I'd just make Judas Iscariot -600/612 and play out Blue Tassels, CP, and Nazareth.  GG.

Judas is protected from discard/conversion while in play by default....

I believe that was his point.  Activate the SA, then make him infinitely large, and use Altar of Dagon, CP, and Nazareth to stop your opponent from rescuing ever since they couldn't get past him (except with Ignore and in-battle Capture...maybe use Blue Tassels instead of Dagon...now that I think about it).

However, you can also convert him before he enters battle, if you wanted to go that route and use him as a hero.  It would work on a lot of characters who protect themselves in battle from various effects as well.

If Judas were -600/612 that would be functionally the same as 0/12. Negative numbers count against you. With this in mind, can somebody point out an actual instance of something being too broken (if you read Neb's SA closely you'll see why Neb doesn't even work as a Hero)?

-600/612 means that my offense is -600, so I would need to play a lot of offense to kill your hero (which I don't care about).  612 defense means you are never going to win by the numbers.

It's just like if I attack with The Thankful Leper (1/10) and my opponent plays Hunger.  I am now -5/4.  And if I play Covenant with Moses, I am now 2/7.  Characters can have offenses that go below 0, and it doesn't affect their defense.  It just means they won't ever kill an opposing character by the numbers.

Oh, and Redoubter was correct - I meant Blue Tassels, not Altar of Dagon.  I will edit my earlier post.

Also, note that CP and Naz are just to protect from shuffle in territory (since that is just about the only way to remove him from territory if Judas is protected from discard/conversion/capture).  Naz would not protect from shuffle in battle.  They are somewhat superfluous.  Judas and Blue Tassels are all that are really needed.

I like the idea, except it would make cards like Uzzah truly fit into every single defense, as you could convert him into a protected class. I would suggest changing it to 1 turn. Still useful in many decks, but not all. Other than that, and having to define a list of all descriptive identifiers, I like it.

As for the negative strength comment, it has been ruled that ability distribution cards (like The Testimony, Answered Prayer, etc.) must have a non-negative strength and toughness. I tried awhile ago to see if I could make my Answered Prayer give 14/-7 to Enoch, but it was ruled no. I think it's similar to trying to convert an Evil Character to multicolor with Holy Grail. Just because it's possible in one instance (Saul/Paul) doesn't mean it's generally possible. Same with Samson's Sacrifice and negative numbers.

How would making Uzzah a protected class have him fit into more decks? Why waste a Dom slot just so you can have him in territory?

I am sure there are a number of examples that would be very powerful, but Hidden Treasures abuse with a converted ET or Proud Pharisee to a green prophet would be vicious. You could play two enhancements before your opponent can block. I realize you can already do this with Jacob but you are limited to one enhancement being Genesis. Several 2 enhancement combos could include:

- Search + Visions of Iddo the Seer: grab a card and avoid anything nasty your opponent can play while still being able to play Search next turn.
- Two Bears x2 in a 100 card T1 or T2 would be brutal.

The problem with this card is the same problem that caused ANB to be erratad 9001 times, there are so many variables, and so many possibilities, that given enough time, someone would find a broken exploit with the card.

Eh, not enough reason to not consider a card this game-changing imo. It would allow people to develop truly unique playing styles less limited by what cards exist. Think about the ability of kids to literally just use whomever is their favorite Bible character in whatever deck they use, now that's a "good-for-the-game" selling point.

Had to squish the image a bit because it's so wide, and I couldn't find a similar replacement image.

(Pro-tip in the future Pol... look for images that are taller than they are wide... makes life easier  ;))

I like the card, but it seems like if it would be made, there would probably be a lot of rulling questions.
