More card ripping?

What if there was a counter part to Haman's plot? Such a card that let you do the same thing but was play-able on heroes? It would do the same thing, I dunno just got to thinking it seems a lot better in my head. Haha thoughts?

The problem with any kind of ripping mechanic is that the cost is lopsided in favor of people with more disposal income. With Plot it's not a big deal because the card only costs $2-3 per copy, but it's still not something you want to encourage. That's even without getting into the whole thing about multiple decks.

Yeah, someone like me has somewhere around 60-70 (could be more, lost count), and could afford to put one in every deck I ever make and be fine.  I'm not even close to the biggest hoarder.  Meanwhile, there are people who come to tournaments I attend that have never owned one, and for whom ripping a few bucks worth of a card is not going to be feasible for them.

I'm not a big fan of card rippage myself, unless of course it is a non-official game at Nats that gets epic with a dozen bystanders and the only way for someone to win is to play Plot.  Then they must rip it.

If we play Plot in our play group we just remove it from the game. So we've been able to stock pile a bunch of them for a while.  So I feel like its do able but it won't ever happen

Of course in friendly play most people won't be forcing a rip.  But that's not the problem.  The problem is at the tournament level, where you have someone who can afford it check in a whole bunch of decks (before that got limited) with Plots in them and they could just rip them at will and reload with a new deck.  Not as big of a problem now with limited checked decks, but still not a good idea to have more ripping of cards IMO.

Isn't AoCP about the same thing as plot minus the ripping? Granted it can't target heroes but still a solid play.

The game redoubter is referring to maybe my favorite game of redemption all time :-)
