Rob said that he would agree to create a promo card that I would be able to give as a way of promoting my latest chapter book. Nothing that would create headaches for players, just a card with a cool looking character or enhancement.

I am soliciting ideas, artwork, special ability (nothing game changing).

I’m sure you would get credit for the design. I expect the book to be in print before the end of this year.

I'll second this. Something that ties in with the book would be cool - not to mention that we'll have some interest

Are you thinking something specific, like a character that hasn't been printed in a while, or something more generic, like a general concept that helps a variety of themes?

Thanks for showing interest. Characters or enhancements. Nothing game changing could be a previously printed card with an ability or different art wrk. One chapter in my book deals with how a trio of brothers come home with a sealed deck and learn how to play. Later in the book, while the oldest brother is camping with his class, he introduces the game to his friends.

Maybe something like this? Obviously with a higher resolution image, but I think it's a crime to not have a card with the Reassuring Angel (Ap) art be playable. *Or named- Wordbringer

Or maybe just, "May band to a Hero." I think it's simple enough either way.

Cool idea- I think more special promos would be great!

Yes, my post was originally in jest. Just for fun and based on the story (hence the sealed part). However, I do think it would be cool to be able to exchange with a card outside of the drafted cards, but in a way that could not be something OP.

Anyway, you are right. It would just need to be something other than a promo in order for that to work.

On a slightly different vein from the others, how about an enhancement about one of the many redemptions in the bible? And because Photoshop is a thing and poor impulse control when it's involved, here's a pretty(ish) look at what it may look like:

Hey Terry, I know we talked a bit at Nats about the card stuff and I drew up one for ya. I figured since the book revolved around children the card that came with it should follow a similar idea. It's not perfect though, the program I use on my computer doesn't have the exact font that the cards use for the title and the numbers in the icon box, but I hope you like it anyway. I can make changes if it isn't exactly what you want, so criticism is welcome.
