Until the Liner is banned, I will be proposing cards like this   ;)

Mighty Warrior (version 1)
11/11 Red/Clay/Silver hero, WC, TC
Identifiers:  May not be in a deck that contains the New Jerusalem or The Second Coming dominants
"When played, search deck or discard for a good weapon.  When your Warrior Class hero redeems a lost soul, you may draw 2 or rescue it again.  While all your heroes are Warrior Class, they cannot be ignored or negated."
Isaiah 42:13/Revelations 19:15

Mighty Warrior (version 2 for Master Q - is this strong enough?)
11/11 Red/Clay/Silver hero, WC, TC
Identifiers:  May not be in a deck that contains The Second Coming
"Search deck or discard for a good weapon.  When your Warrior Class hero redeems a lost soul, you may draw 2 or rescue it again.  While all your heroes are Warrior Class, negate neutral cards, and your heroes cannot be ignored or negated."
Isaiah 42:13/Revelations 19:15

I like it. Very nice. The only downside off the top of my head would be that Throne decks could make good use of it. Not sure if the may draw would trigger for each WC character involved with rescuing either. Might make it when your lone WC hero rescues a lost soul in that case. I like the idea of this though.

Well, I did try and make it powerful enough that it could compensate for not having NJ or TSC in your deck.  I might have actually undershot on this   :D

One thing that Throne decks would have to consider is whether they want AUTO/Sam/Abigail for drawing/searching, but then lose the last ability of Mighty Warrior.  My guess is, those that want AUTO/Sam/Abigail in their Throne decks will keep those 3 heroes, as well as NJ or TSC, and just leave out Mighty Warrior altogether.

Love the idea, but Jesus was off the planet by the time the Clay brigade is applicable.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I don't think making cards to combat it is the best way to go about it. I've actually come to the realization that probably the best way to neuter the liner (aside from a full-on ban) is to implement the rescuer's choice rule. It works for T2, why not T1? I don't see any real reason this can't be the case, outside of it would be another rule to learn.

Of course, if someone was to start a petition for banning the liner, I'd be one of the first to sign.

-As far as the Mighty Warrior is concerned, I don't think the ability justifies the cost (no TSC). Getting through HHI is stellar, but the rest is just alright. Excluding a dom from your deck is a hefty price to play FBTNB decks, especially since the existence of Confusion makes TSC pretty much required.
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

Love the idea, but Jesus was off the planet by the time the Clay brigade is applicable.

Well, the card has two references.  The second reference refers to the second coming of Christ, which is obviously after the advent of Clay brigade   ;)   (And also why the card can't be in the same deck as TSC.)

If your problem is with the brigades, I can see this being a Red (or maybe Red/Silver) hero instead.  It depends on if the playtesters plan on making other Revelations heroes Clay or not - does Clay only apply to a few centuries after Jesus' death?  Or does Clay apply to all heroes after Jesus' death?

Also, now that I think of it, NJ (the Dom) actually has a Proverbs reference, so maybe the identifier should be updated to only exclude TSC.  Seeing as how TSC is so much more popular than NJ, this will still be seen as a drawback.

I recently came to this realization as well.  There's a reason that no one plays Liners in T2 decks - because of Rescuer's Choice.  I'm on board.

It would actually streamline things once T1 players are accustomed to the new rule, since both versions would be played the same.

Don't forget that this applies to all Warrior Class heroes.  Soldier of God and his ilk, Judges like Ehud/Jephthah, Throne heroes like King Saul/David/King Amaziah, etc.

And I am worried that the card is not powerful enough to justify the loss of TSC.  I can always beef it up  ;)  Let me see what I can do.

EDIT:  Beefed-up version 2 has been added to the OP.

I missed the identifier the first time I read it. So I pretty much agree with you on all accounts considering that.

On that note, you'd still need the "When played," at the beginning to specify when to get the weapon

Why wouldn't you just get a weapon each time MW's ability activates?  I don't think there's an instant TC ability yet, but it seems straightforward to me:  Each time the ability activates (or reactivates), do the instant ability again.  (So each time he enters territory or battle)

Ok, I see, but it seems too good with something like I am Holy.

I agree (although many cards are "too good" with IaH, like Isaiah, Holy Spirit, Cloud of Witnesses, etc.  ;) ).

The question is, is this too good for the loss of TSC?
