I would probably specify non-emperor Evil Characters. Otherwise, my opponent's non-emperor Christian Martyr, Magic Charms, Unholy Writ, Grapes of Wrath, etc. would have no effect.

totally. i built a Saul/Paul deck with Protection of Angels, Striking Herod, Walking on Water, and other interrupt-battle winners and it didn't do to bad, and with this it would be awesome. although you should add Ananias of Damascus on that list.
