Look at the Heart
[Gold GE | -/- | TC, Limit one per territory | 1 Samuel 16:7]
Place in your territory: Each player plays with their deck turned over. Cannot be negated.
Not sure if this would actually see any play, but was an idea that I had.
-
I love this idea!
It would be so much fun!
-
I hope you mean that the bottom card becomes the top, because otherwise this would be far too time consuming and I would use DD in every single deck.
-
Yes, I mean the bottom becomes the top. You just flip your whole deck over. :P
-
Then I love it. Combo-tastic. It might need a little re-wording for clarification, though. Also, a "Limit one per territory" might be necessary.
-
Is that better?
-
Yeah, I just think there should be some wording to clarify where you are supposed to draw from.
-
I was wondering that too, w/ all these cards that say 'Place ____ Card/Enhancement under Deck' where do they go? On the current bottom or the original bottom?
-
Flipping over the deck doesn't change the fact that it's still a pile. The bottom is the same bottom that is has always been, you draw the top card (which is now face-up) like you always do, I didn't think it would be this confusing. >_<
-
Oh... so when you flip, you are drawing from the bottom, which used to be the top?
-
You pick up the deck, you rotate it 180 degrees, you set it back down. The top is the uppermost card like always, the bottom is the lowermost card like always. The only difference is that you are drawing through your deck in the exact reverse order that you were prior to this card's activation and that you draw cards face-up rather than face-down.
Does that explain it?
-
Do you draw your cards face-up? I would assume so, but if so I would still specify. I might also clarify that the new uppermost card is now treated as the top and vice-versa. It would be necessary extra wording IMO if this were a real card.
Though maybe it just doesn't even matter. I get the idea.
-
Would it be simpler to say "each player plays with the top card of their deck revealed?"
-
Would it be simpler to say "each player plays with the top card of their deck revealed?"
That's simpler, but an entirely different ability, lol. My idea was to sort of thwart themes that manipulate card locations (demons are a big one, magicians to a smaller extent, Susanna, etc.) or at least reverse the work they had done that turn or previous turns. Does that make sense?
-
Yeah, I see where you're coming from, but that takes some fancy footwork.
