Yes she was. Isn't it cool how God took David's sin and turned it into the wisest King ever?

*scratches out the title and writes in "Bathsheba" **Can of worms!*
Quote from: TheKarazyvicePresidentRR on May 06, 2010, 10:22:07 PM*scratches out the title and writes in "Bathsheba" **Can of worms!*IF King Lemuel is actually King Solomon, which I personally doubt, then he did not seem to listen to ONE WORD of what his mother (Bathsheba) taught him about a virtuous wife, and what the Holy Spirit told him to write:Prov.31:3 "Do not give your strength to women, or your ways to that which destroys Kings." This is EXACTLY what destroyed Solomon.Prov.31:10 "Who can find a virtuous WIFE?" (singular) "For her worth is far above rubies." Solomon instead had 700 wives, most of them pagan idol worshippers, and 300 concubines. If you read what Solomon writes about wives in Proverbs, it doesn't sound like he had any "virtuous" relationships with them.

Yes, it was with the King of Israel, but it was still adultery.

Bathsheba saying of the virtuous wife that she does her husband good and not evil all the days of her life, when she cheated on Uriah?
Agree.OK, I'll just ask. Why exactly do many believe that King Lemuel is Solomon writing with a different name? Why can't it just be the inspired words of some unknown King? I'm just curious about what is in the bible/text to back up this belief?
Proverbs 1:1. The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel
