I'm not sure I like the idea of an idol searching for a clay Hero or having anything that converts a Hero to an EC permanently. The only Hero-to-EC permanent conversion in the game currently (that I can think of) is the crimson enhancement that only affects certain angels. I really don't think we need anything more than that.

I really like Molech's art, wow nice find. I am a little confused with dagon's artwork and why it works with Babylonians. In general though, I really like the art.

Dagon was a fish god, and he was revered by ancient Babylonians as well as the Philistines.

Twin Gods searches for a clay Hero for the following reason.  The Alexandrian ship that carried Paul had the Twin Gods (can't remember their actual names) built into the front of the ship. Since that ship carried Paul I allowed the card to "search" for a clay Hero.  I could fix it to an "or" ability to set aside a hero for X amt of turns. As far as the Molech ability to convert a Hero to an EC....the idea behind that was that God's people allowed idol worship to get in the way of what He had planned for them and they worshipped Molech instead of God. That was my reasoning.

Agreed! That is exactly why I made it a fish and id'd it with Babs and Stines.... this one is one of my favorite creations. However, one that is coming up out of my collection i think you will like, Hobbit, especially since you like that art!  My egyptian idol looks awesome!

In that case, it should be able to be held in the Alexandrian Ship

Also, i really like the idea of an idol also being used for good. I made a card a while ago that touched on this idea:

I think some of this art is a bit glorifying to demons. Maybe if the more buxom ones were actual pictures of idols or statues you could find, they may be more acceptable.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Although I do love the art for a lot of them, especially Ishtar and Tammuz.

The problem I think they are having is that they aren't demonic looking, they are "appealing" images that aren't actually statues.  I would suggest the art mainly be statues and the like, rather than "heroic" images of life-like depictions of the 'gods' being portrayed, to allay that concern.

OK. I understand.  I can see the point.  I will have to go back and fix the idol images....but, ugh, they looked so cool! lol!

This is a good parallel to why people open their lives to demons and sin.  It looks so cool.  But as the saying goes:

"Sin will take you farther than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay."

+1 the ones that are in play at the moment have Biblical purpose (being dead in contrast the one true living God) and are pretty easy to understand as truly being evil..

I didn't mean that I"m going to fall into sin and worship them........And yes I know that quote....my mom and I sing southern gospel and that's actually a part of a song that I sing! I know....maybe I shouldn't have said they look really cool....I apologize.

these have biblical purpose too....each one that was mentioned in the bible dealt with people worshipping them and God striking them down....another instance of God teaching us not to have other idols before Him. He is the only One that needs and WANTS our worship!!!! I have more to show you and more that I'm working on....if you guys care to see. I won't post them unless you are interested.

Here are the next several cards in the set.  I tried using the Paint.net to make a set icon but for some reason it wouldn't download onto my laptop. Oh well, maybe next set...:)   Here they are:

With king uzziah you forgot to add the choise hero or evil character identifier.

Hideout should have may hold 1 snake evil character ;)

Alright, very cool cards! Few things though, i feel that Canaanites don't need any more protection imo, so i feel that Asherah is OP and just overkill at this point. Second, Abimelech was not a king of Israel, just a judge. third, with Bel, i don't think you should be able to put an idol on an animal, because an animal can't worship an idol. also, would that card only be able to be used once? or does it activate every turn? wording is kinda vague there. I really like all the other cards though, especially that GE. I'm really glad that you're expanding on this Idol theme, it's really cool to see that you're making it into a set!

Hey thanks for the comments! So to comment on your comments:

1. Asherah-I see your point with protection. I can change that protect ability to some type of ignore ability.
2. Abimelech-that was a actually a misread when i was doing research.  I read something about kings of israel and accidentally put King of Israel as his identifier. It should read "Canaanite King, Judge" like the original.
3. The idea behind placing on an animal was that the reference explained that animals carried the idols when people traveled so I had the idol placed on the animal to make it a little different than your normal activating on human characters for worship.
4. And the activation is per turn.

I wasn't actually trying to say that you personally were going to fall into sin, and apologize for not being more clear.  I was just making a broader point about how sin looks good initially, and that is why it is tempting.  And I'm sure that demons also appear at times to be "cool" in order to also suck people in (not you personally, just people in general).
