Title: I Am Hope
Post by: Minister Polarius on April 27, 2010, 02:17:00 PM
I Am Hope
5/2 Green Covenant
"When your card is removed from the game, you may treat this card as a copy of it and either place it where the card was removed from or set it aside. While in set-aside, card can be played as if from hand."

I thought that initially, but God doesn't just give good people second chances. Although from a gameplay standpoint, it may need that caveat to balance it (play Confusion, play Achan's Sin, get another Confusion).

i agree that God gives all second chances but i don't think he intends to give them second chances so they can continue to do evil(even though we all have free will and can choose to do good or evil with whatever chance we may get.) though i did mainly suggest that for the gameplay standpoint as you mentioned ^_^

Here's how I would change it:

I Am Hope
5/2 Green Covenant
"When your good card is discarded or removed from the game by an opponent, you may either place this card in that card's previous location or set this card aside to treat this as a copy of that card. If set aside this way, this card can be played from set-aside as if from hand."

I like the idea a lot either way...

Needs a "Protect from shuffle" clause.

@BB, I don't want to have Discard in there. Essentially Negating CM is way too strong for this card.

@RR, why?

I thought that nerfing doms would be highly approved of. Besides, there are only like 5 cards that remove things from the game, so removal alone is UP IMO.

Nerfing good doms maybe. Nerfing Evil Doms, not so much. CM is one of the last stands against Lampstandaholics. Cards should be made to get around it, but not for such a cheap cost.

I only ever want to see CM nerfed if AotL is nerfed harder. You're right in that it's not very useful if it's just Good cards. How about this:

I Am Hope
5/2 Green Covenant
"When your Good Card is Discarded or Removed from the Game, you may treat this card as a copy of it. If it was removed from battle, set this card aside where it may be played as if from hand. Otherwise, place this card where it was removed from."

Idk about D/c'd, Double aocp = bad. And the shuffle is so you can use ANB with it.

How about just this:

I Am Hope
5/2 Green Covenant
"When your good card is discarded or removed from the game by an opponent, you may treat this as a copy of that card to set this card aside. If you do, this card can be played from set-aside as if from hand."

I think a "by an opponent," or maybe an "(except a dominant)" phrase is very important here.

Well, the original idea was to be able to use Wickedness Removed twice in a T1 deck. Perhaps:

"If your Good card is Discarded or Removed by a Special Ability, you may set this card aside as a copy of that card. Card may be played from set-aside as if from hand."

This works just fine. ...Now what?

What do you mean "now what?"

Well, what do we do now that we agree...? I don't believe that's ever happened before...

Bubblehead, bubblehead, bubblehead.... you just don't understand.  ;)

Now we make it a real card by rioting in the streets!
