Title: House at Endor: Now with Pictures!
Post by: JSB23 on August 23, 2012, 01:16:28 AM
House at Endor
Evil Fortress

During your prep phase you may place a card from hand here face down. When attacked, you may interrupt all neutral cards and exchange a card held here with a magician in deck or discard pile to add up to X of your magicians to battle.

Identifiers: Holds any number of cards, X = number of heroes in battle.

Witch of Endor
8/6 Pale Green/Brown Evil Character

Underdeck a multi-colored card. You may remove it from the game instead if it's a character. Search deck for House at Endor. Cannot be negated if another I Samuel human is in play.

Identifiers: Magician, Israelite

Giggity. I'd remove the bit about it being Pale Green since the only playable non-PG magician is Simon and I don't think that justifies half a line of exception. It'd also be cool if you could use its ability upon an opponent playing an Enhancement that Cannot be Negated, although that's more gameplay than story. The protection from effect doesn't belong in an identifier and would make the SA too long, so a change suggested.

Love it! Not too much of a silver bullet, not too harsh against Sam decks since only the speed comes from Sam while the power comes from Moses, and gets extra points for operating under CWD (as Magicians are wont to do). Has a weakness triangle with TGT since it's multi-colored itself, and would work even better if my suggestion were adopted for House at Endor to create decked fodder for it to punish a CBN battle-winner.

The bit about Pale Green was referring to the card being exchanged from the fortress, I added the restriction because Cactus has been wary of printing easy EC recursion. The protection from effect is to prevent SWS/Abe's Kid/SomethingImforgettingabout shenanigans, and to give Magicians a pseudo-protect fort.

I love them.  I'd change WoE to "CBN if a I Samuel human is in play", since I think evil King Saul should be able to make it CBN.

It would need to be "another I Samuel human" because WoE, is a I Samuel human, so as you suggested her ability would be CBN because she is in play.  :P

Agreed.

I'd put back the "here" on House of Endor. It would be just too much power on one card if you could use it to block with Magicians from territory.

If you use House at Endor, (against a lone hero) and don't use the character you grabbed to block, then the character is stuck there until they attack again. In the current version, you need to use the exchange to add the character to battle.
