Title: High Quality Photoshop Template: Preview
Post by: Lamborghini_diablo on May 31, 2012, 07:01:25 PM
Over the past few weeks, I've been working on a brand new VERY high quality card creation template. I got tired of using small frame templates with blurry background patterns, and smudged out titles. So, I took it upon myself to scan in quite a few cards and recreate the full patterns to the best of my abilities. I also redrew the border around the icons for to make painting brigade colors easier, etc.

These preview images are full resolution, so I will just link them instead of embed them.

Standard red fame, with an Artifact Icon: (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/Preview5.jpg)
I took this template, selected just the patterned area, and hue shifted it to create 12 different colors of frames. I kept that hue shift layer for anyone who wants to make a new border color.

All the pretty frame colors! Also, I managed to recover the top left corner of the pattern, so these frames can be used for lost souls as well. (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/preview6.jpg)

Ultra Rare border with Covenant Icons. (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/Preview3.jpg)

Angel border (yes, the actual pattern looks pixelated, that wasn't a mistake on my part). (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/Preview2.jpg)

Priest border. (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/Preview4.jpg)

Demon border (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/Preview1.jpg)

Finally, I managed to get the dual sided border as well! (http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z18/Lambo_Diablo_Svtt/Redemption/preview7.jpg)

I just need to get the icons for multicolor heroes and evil characters, and the template should be complete. When I post it, I will write up a basic guide on how to use it as well (you will need Photoshop to open it). Do you guys have any suggestions/requests for this template?

So, does that mean no Gimp? If so, I would like to be able to use it with Gimp.

Most photoshop files work just fine with Gimp (BTW a new version of Gimp has just been released)

Ah, I never use GIMP as  I have the full CS4 Suite. That's good to know. I may download that and write a second section in the guide when I release it.

You got my multicolor character icons, right? As little as I make Redemption cards nowadays, I'm excited to see the final product.

Yep, I got those and put them in. I will need someone to help me host this file though.
