Those who go to my play group will know, i
LOVE
the greek evil characters. after is saw a thread about ptolemy, a greek Egyptian combo, i thought, there were a bunch more kingdoms that greece split into, so why not have those commanders. so here they are. and a few other random ones as well.

feed back is welcome, please be critical!
(also, none of the commanders have verses because i didn't really want to have to go through Josephus' jewish history stuff

Both of Alexander's abilities need reworked, due to being overpowered. Protection from discard includes battle resolution; that's way too powerful.
And in a Type 2 deck, I could include 4 Alexanders; once I play one of them, I can chain them to search my deck for a net 3 Greeks per search. Searching for 2 would be better.

Agree with JM that Alexander is way over the top. Love Masters of Divination as there are many who think looking at someone's hand, sometimes once a turn, is the most over powered ability in the game.

Alexander may still be op. His first ability protects from quite alot and is tc. His second ability being tc might make the generic Greeks too accessible. Because of areopagus and the generic Greeks be careful about tc abilities and cards that work on them as well. They can already be a pain to deal with once set up. Just look at the deck that won nats. Interesting ideas though. I like the idea of Alexander and his second ability. I'd make it apply to if he was discarded in battle or by an opponents special ability or something like that. Possibly only unique greeks to not help out the philosophers much more. Maybe not though. Nice job.

Like Alexander's revamp. At this point, since recursion is not very prominent for evil, his discard and search ability may be fine. If it were playtested and seen as being too strong though, it may have to remove itself from the game or some other tweak to the last ability. The first ability is strong and becomes like an living artifact with a great ability for his tribe mates. I would be leery of anything offering another protection that would allow a deck like J.E.'s to be more powerful.

Just as an FYI, Rob has expressed that he would prefer not to have a character be both Territory Class and Warrior Class. Like the ideas though!

Sometimes we don't ask "why". We just say, "OK, you're the boss".
