"Work out your own salvation"

Rainbow colored hero enhancement, no numbers.

"No dominants can be played by any player for the remainder of the game.  This can only be played if no dominants have been played yet in the game."

Phil.2:12 "So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more so in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."

I usually don't think about new card ideas, but I've become weary of all the dominants in the game.  I would love a card like this that could stop all dominants from being played.  I would not make it cannot be negated, though, so that in certain circumstances it could be stopped.  It is also made more "fair" by only being playable at the start of the game and when no one has played any dominants.  It would be interesting to see how many players would abandon dominants in favor of this card, or how many would play a dominant from their opening hand for no other reason than to stop this from happening.  Either one I think would be a good thing.

Um, am I missing something, or should this really be evil? Also...shorten the title. :P

Honestly I find it very UP'd. All I have to do is slap down any dom and I killed a slot in your deck.

WAY op'd. You draw this first turn, they don't know you have it and ALL your doms are worthless... this is rediculous.

I don't think it's "WAY" op'ed, but I don't think it is at all balanced, and it simply wouldn't help the game.

How about this:
Some color evil enhancement
"Place in opponent's territory.  While in play, negate that player's good covenant's.  Good dominants cannot be played in battle."

This would effectively take out Grapes and AotL (at least the most common use).  It also hinders the power of SoG/NJ (no longer can be used defensively) while still allowing for the play of the less powerful dominants (GotL and GoYS).
Gates of Hell is by far the best card in the game.  No questions asked.

Except this allows for you to play this after you have used your own dominants all you want.  If it worked the way you described, which I don't terribly mind, it should make it so that no player has been allowed the advantage by drawing their dominants first.  It's supposed to be an "anti-speed" card, because speed has primarily become a race to get your 10 or 11 dominants before the other guy.  If dominants can't be played by anyone, then we just might have to rescue and defend with enhancements!  What a scary thought!

Anyone else feel the game is too dominated (irony) by dominants now?

redemptioncousin, cool idea. However, just a small thing, you would have to say "dominants cannot be played DURING battle." Cause dominants are never played IN battle, they only affect the battle at times.

This sounds like a pretty epic idea for a Orange place card
