Lion's Den (idea by Matt, art by Me)

This is a card that Matt asked me to create for him. I quite like the idea behind it, and it's a pretty strong card without being broken. It forces opponents to think about keeping site access active, and there are plenty of ways to discard sites now.

As for the art, I decided to create a new, clean template by scanning in 8 cards with the same border color, and recreate the pattern rather than just smudge the text out. It worked quite well, and I'll be expanding this template in the future with more colors and icons.

I like the idea but I feel like its way to splash able. Mabey only have it work with a warrior class Bab in play and keep the no Daniel part.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

I think it should be silver; fits the story better.

Great card, i like it a lot.  Maybe make it both silver and white to fit both parts of the story, and it would be cool to see some 2-color sites.  It is splash-able, but it will only create more LS for your opponent to rescue, so I don't think it will be splashed in too many top tier decks.  It would be nice to have some kind of limit on it, like having a warrior-class Babylonian in play

I really like this card, but maybe make it more for Babs/Persians...
They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

Needs to only work with a Persian. Would give Persians more reason to be used and would stop it from just being thrown into Speed decks to get a cheap capture. It also needs to be theme-specific so it doesn't run rampant in T2 where it could potentially capture 22 Heroes by itself (or 66 Heroes with 3 copies).
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

How would it capture 22 by itself?

I believe Opponent's is singular, while Opponents' is plural.

Agree with Polarius.  Unfortunately, it should be limited a lot more because of its power, even though I LOVE the idea.

How about instead of "If no Daniel hero is in play", have it be "If a Persian or Babylonian is in play...".  It actually makes more sense for the story besides, makes it less splashable, and cuts down on abuse.

On what color it should be, their general idea had been to create sites that countered the brigade that could access them (like Golgotha stopping Ignore which White uses, Nazareth stopping Searches which Green uses, etc.).  So...not sure how it helps to decide, but I thought I'd throw that out there :D

How would it capture 22 by itself?

I believe Opponent's is singular, while Opponents' is plural.

On the second part, this card could only capture from the player who rescued from that site by its current wording.

On the first, it would capture 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 = 21 (so slightly off) in T2 if all of the rescues came from that site.  It does bear noting that it would actually be more powerful in T1 (in my opinion) because rescuer's choice in T2 means that you could rescue around it, as there is usually no shortage of souls in T2 (especially if you add captured characters).  In T1, so long as they went in with site access or a hero of that brigade, you could use the capture, plus the fact that you often have less to rescue.

Oh, I thought he meant in a single turn.

Like I said in the initial post, there are ways around it. Either don't use site access, have a Daniel Hero, or just negate and discard it (which is fairly easy to do now).

Yes, but a lot of anti-meta decks can't stop it (like my Angel Deck, Gold, etc.) unfortunately u are over assuming the ability to Negate/Discard a Site.

Your angel deck would be fine because it captures humans.  I think it is funny hearing people say this is op.  I personally think it is underpowered and would almost never see play.  I like the idea though.

I think it is hard for any ability that depends on your opponent rescuing souls to be overpowered.  Not only does the X identifier require them to have rescued souls but it only triggers when they rescue another one.  So your opponent has to have 2 souls rescued before this does anything significant?  In type 1 thats almost the end of the game and in type 2 it is easily avoided.  In addition, the extra restrictions like only capturing human characters in territory where there is lots of protection and after the battle is over, make it unlikely to be very reliable to help.

This would have been stronger when you could use SoG/NJ to trigger it yourself.

My version would say something like "Whenever a good card with a form of "pray" on it is played, capture a human hero and place it here.  If a captured hero is rescued from here then release all captured heros from here and capture 2X evil humans and place them here."        X = number of heros released from this site

I like it, but I think you should have it a set aside ability to go with the Persian Theme, then it would pair better with Persian Presidents.

Actually, I'd use this card as is in my deck. And I think a lot of people would do that too.

I got to my number in 1+2+3+4+5+5+6. It could technically capture even more with the Lost Souls, 1+2+3+4+5+6+6+5+6. Granted the final sixes will be game-ending, but still :)
