James 2:17 Even so faith, if faith hath not works, is dead, being alone.
I have a few ideas for this card. I want a Besieging the City that is a battle winner, but territory class. Gold has BtC already, only brown has Great Mourning. Crimson has a substitute, orange has none, black has displeased, grey has nothing really, pale green has none either. So I'm leaning towards a grey card.
TC Faith Without Works
Grey EE
0/0
Opponent may not make a rescue attempt next turn. Topdeck a hero.
Something to that extent.

Faith Without Works
Grey/? Not sure the other color
0/0 EE
Topdeck a hero. Place in opponent's territory for one turn. Opponent may not make a rescue that turn.

Making an effect like this territory class would be absurd. It needs to at the very least stop you from making a rescue attempt as well, because just denying your opponent a rescue from territory is too strong.
-
Needs to be two color to limit copies. Otherwise...I love the concept.
-
I absolutely love this idea. Maybe make it withdraw a hero tho. Its kill power needs to be bare minimum if it has any.
-
What about placing it in territory to make it vulnerable then you may discard it to protect lost souls from rescue. This allows your opponent an opportunity to play around it or to discard it.

Easty, it is not too strong, get out of here with that. Have you seen the last set...? Josiah, awesome input! I like that idea. I was thinking dual color to limit t2 but c'mon, this kind of stuff does not get played in type 2. I had to give it a reason to take up a card slot, let alone 4, but I suppose this would get made if it's just one color.

I like the choice of gray brigade. The idea of separating works and faith seems very pharisitical to me. I could see gray/black or gray/Crimson if it were 2 brigades.
-
I like the idea of a Gray/Crimson, but not sold on the TC aspect. Feels like something that would easily be abused by Golgotha/Abe's Kid.
Maybe something like:
Gray/Crimson EE
"Topdeck a Hero. Opponent may not make a rescue attempt on his next turn. Cannot be prevented if used by a Pharisee or Heretic."
I definitely like the dynamic of potentially topdecking a Hero not in battle (maybe even your own Hero) in order to not surrender initiative.

I have seen and played with the last set, this is still far too strong. The territory class aspect of it is what makes it too strong. There are far fewer ways my opponents can deal with it if I'm doing it from territory, and I don't need initiative to play this to boot.
I think you are vastly underestimating how powerful forcing your opponent to essentially skip their turn from territory is.
