Why is he a magician?

Many sources claim that Nero was involved in magical activities. Here's a quick Google link for ya.

Hmm... very interesting, that is a more unique direction to take this character. magician and emperor would be pretty legit. although because it's not directly talked about in the scriptures, i don't think a magician identifier is appropriate imo.

I understand your concern, but I'd like to point out that the original printing of Emperor Nero was given a Josephus reference instead of a biblical one, so the character is already extra-biblical.

Ok, i see where you are coming from with this, however, josephus was used because he lived at the time of when those events happened and was actively writing and living through them. If we could use books for references like the one you linked, the game would lose the biblical aspect, which is why it was created in the first place, as a ministry tool. I'm gonna have to say though, i really wish this guy was a card because an emperor magician would open so many doors to new deck concepts!

i still really like the original wording 'only a rescue of 2 or more heroes may be successful' kinda wish it was played this way instead of just 'immune to lone heroes'
