One of your linked images showed up as an advertisement for a cruise or something, I removed it as it obviously didn't belong. I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be another card link instead that got pasted incorrectly or if it was just entirely in error, but I wanted you to know either way.

Thanks I appreciate it. I'll check it out to see what went wrong. Probably just a bad link.

Update: The card should be on there now and not an ad.

It's showing the ad again for me, even after refreshing a few times. Tinypic is so bad about ads nowadays, you might be better off making a free Imgur profile and hosting your images there.

Weird. Wasn't showing the ad for me. and I uploaded it again.... Thanks for letting me know. I'm taking your advice and i'll go from there.

Update: Hopefully fixed now... It's not showing an ad for me at least. Used Imgur.

Yep I see the actual card now!

King Benhadad has an interesting ability but I'm not sure it would actually work as intended, and is incredibly strong as a result. Take abilities default to adding the taken card to your hand, it doesn't go to your territory, so you could conceivably keep the character in hand past the X number of turns and end up with it indefinitely. You could steal an entire offense this way (especially pairing it with a green offense, as these cards seem designed to do, which gives you access to side battle cards that can allow Benhadad to take more heroes). I don't think the instead is enough of a cost to balance this ability in its current form.

These cards are great! I like all the art and special ability ideas around them! I hope some of these cards and or themes are going to be in the next card set this year.

Nice ideas, though I'm curious why you think King Ben Hadad I needs a reprint...he's one of my favorite ECs to use as his ability is awesome.  8)

I really like these too.  Well done  :)

Besieged by Syria is too strong, FYI.  Interrupt + Win + CBN is too powerful.  This would be a nightmare in T2, especially if there are no prophets in either deck.

I'm also not sure how I feel about Laban's Brethren having a TC ability that gives CBN to Syrian captures.  This could also be too powerful.

King Benhadad I put in just because of army of 32 kings. I changed the ability so that I thought it reflected him scripturally but thematically made OT Syrians more of a threat and not just after winning a battle. The SA probably would need work to work correctly. Might not even need the change. Just thought I'd put in an option.

besieged by syria could lose the CBN I agree. But since it wasn't a permanent "interrupt and get rid of a bunch of cards in battle" effect I figured it needed something. Just trying to find a creative Joseph in prison like effect for gray.
Laban's brethren doesn't need TC. Again just was trying to make Syrians more of a threat and chance to see play. I guess overall I want to see more balance in the strength of themes especially amongst differing colors. Things like syrians, persians, musicians.

Thanks again for the input.

I like what you're doing here - some great ideas! Here are some thoughts that I have:

- Syrians need more generic characters for T2

- Along with Moses and David (who is more thought of for being a king), Elijah was one of the greatest prophets in the Old Testament. I think he should be a serious force to be reckoned with in Redemption! God used him to heal people, to multiply food, and there are at least 4 instances of him calling (or praying for) fire that was sent down from Heaven! So maybe he could be territory class and have an ability like:

Protected from discard. Once per round, you may heal another O.T. Hero. May play Fire From Heaven. Cannot be negated.

And then "Fire From Heaven" could be an Enhancement with an ability like, "Discard all artifacts and evil characters in play" (to fit with the historical event in 1 Kings 18).

- Also, I think it would be really cool to have Elisha connect to the double-portion aspect, where he had a double-portion of Elijah's spirit...maybe he could search for Elijah and Fire from Heaven (setting up Elijah playing it on the next turn). Or, as Elijah was taken to Heaven and Elisha succeeded him, maybe Elijah's ability could be for him to be removed from the game to exchange himself with Elisha who is then able to grab Fire From Heaven and maybe gain the protection from discard and heal abilities.

...just some thoughts! Great job!

2 thanks! And yeah I figured the army of 32 kings or labans brethren could be generic. As for elijah. You're right. There are many aspects of him but I ultimately chose the false religious practice portion to cover how he always protected Israel and exposed them. Not just that but I I thought it would be funny to see abomb players cry a little inside. ;)
