Welcome to the Official Redemption® Message Board!
I like all of the card abilities, but I'm uncomfortable having Leper as an evil character, when it wouldn't actually be evil.
Look at culture/biblical context
In the bible Leperosy was a a sinner's ailment.

Quote from: Red on March 27, 2013, 11:35:17 PMIn the bible Leperosy was a a sinner's ailment.[citation needed]Leprosy is extremely contagious, which is why leper colonies were developed, and why lepers had to make themselves known in public so people would know to avoid them. I recognize that there are instances where disease was used by God to punish people, but unless you're willing to suggest that everyone who has ever had leprosy got it because they were a sinner, I think a card like this is in bad taste.Quote from: Isildur on March 27, 2013, 11:03:08 PMQuote from: Red on March 27, 2013, 10:35:45 PMLook at culture/biblical contextExactly! Yes, but you were very offensive doing so.FWIW, I think the reason Leper is an Evil Character is the idea of uncleanness, which in an O.T. context was more or less evil. Otherwise, Browarod makes a good point that there really is no good way to represent a non-good/non-evil person, and since Leper's obvious ability is more suitable of an EC than a Hero, well...it's just the way it is. It's also worthy to note that just because you're a "bad guy", doesn't mean you're a "bad" guy...
Iamalittleking, you're making an innate assumption that nobody who has ever contracted leprosy believed in God. You're also reading way too far into this.
To be honest, I'm not even sure what your point was, Iamalittle. In case you were worried about my "bad guy" vs. "bad" guy comment, it's a paraphrase from Wreck-it Ralph (one of the best animated movies in recent history), it wasn't meant to be an ideological tenet. If there was something else that frightened you about my post, I apologize, but I'm not sure what was concerning to you.
