I've been thinking about this theme, and it could definitely use some reprints:

I like all of the card abilities, but I'm uncomfortable having Leper as an evil character, when it wouldn't actually be evil.

I believe there already is a leper evil character.

Redemption should also create evil characters for "Cancer-Stricken Man," "Man who Lost his Leg," and "Woman in Wheelchair."

Sick people aren't inherently evil, even if depicted begging and scraping at your clothes. They just wanted someone to help them. Is that so wrong?

Aside from that, I rather like the cards. I wish Redemption had the capabilities for neutral cards that aren't places or things.

In the bible Leperosy was a a sinner's ailment.

[citation needed]

Leprosy is extremely contagious, which is why leper colonies were developed, and why lepers had to make themselves known in public  so people would know to avoid them. I recognize that there are instances where disease was used by God to punish people, but unless you're willing to suggest that everyone who has ever had leprosy got it because they were a sinner, I think a card like this is in bad taste.

Look at culture/biblical context
Exactly! Just read the verse on Lepper.

Sounds like a person suffering and warning people to keep away so they wouldn't also catch it. Not a sinner.

If we want to get technical what are evil characters but lost souls. they where people who where not saved and according to the bible if you are not saved you are an enemy of God Romans 5:10. So average person is God enemy AKA evil characters if they are not saved. So i do not see what the big deal is.

Note i can see the logic of not making it generic.

Yes, but you were very offensive doing so.

FWIW, I think the reason Leper is an Evil Character is the idea of uncleanness, which in an O.T. context was more or less evil. Otherwise, Browarod makes a good point that there really is no good way to represent a non-good/non-evil person, and since Leper's obvious ability is more suitable of an EC than a Hero, well...it's just the way it is.

It's also worthy to note that just because you're a "bad guy", doesn't mean you're a "bad" guy...

Except i cant see how there is a none good none bad person. Hitler And Stalin are probable 2 of the worst guys ever to walk on the planet. But there radical action actually caused people to be saved. The average person(none good none bad person) Is Satan best tool. As no one labels them as some one to watch out for but they can put on pier pressure. And that can lead astray so many people. Also from a salvation stand point this is worst than Hitler and Stalin. And again i must say Romans 5:8 make's it clear that there is no end between spot you are on his side or not. Though i see how this may not apply to leper.  A reason for leper not to be an evil character is that begin a leper does not mean if your saved or not. you reasoning begin presented is frighting to me as it contradicts the bible on the sinfulness of man. I hope this is one big misunderstanding on may part put that is just the way i saw your post.

Iamalittleking, you're making an innate assumption that nobody who has ever contracted leprosy believed in God. You're also reading way too far into this.

I thought i was reading into it to far. But as for my assumption unless i typed this in my head and not on paper(been known to happen) I said that a reason for leper not to be an evil character is because of that very issue.

To be honest, I'm not even sure what your point was, Iamalittle.

In case you were worried about my "bad guy" vs. "bad" guy comment, it's a paraphrase from Wreck-it Ralph (one of the best animated movies in recent history), it wasn't meant to be an ideological tenet.

If there was something else that frightened you about my post, I apologize, but I'm not sure what was concerning to you.
