I thought Demons needed a protection fortress to give 'em a boost...

Any comments/suggestions?

I also like it.  However, the artifact ability is quite powerful.  What would this increase the theoretical artifact count to?

Very well put together and thought out!  I like the condition of having a human EC in play to make it work.  Makes me want to splash Judas into a deck that uses this. ;)  The ability to hold an Artifact is very powerful but it really ties with the theme of Orange. :)  You did an excellent job putting the card together.  It looks like an original.  I think the brown boarder looks really cool too.

The only thing I might change is the title.  I'm not sure what I'd use instead but it seems like there might be an option that's a little more creative.

Well done!

I REALLY like it.  They should make a card of this.  It looks like you've put lots of thought into it, and the result is great!  What i think would have made it a little cooler would be the ability to hold either an artifact or a curse.  But that's just me ;)

It will hold a Curse as long as that curse depicts and idol.  Presently both Unknown Nation and Captured Ark qualify. :)

Its ability to hold so many great artifacts would probably make it a shoe-in in most decks.

What i think would have made it a little cooler would be the ability to hold either an artifact or a curse.  But that's just me ;)

Depicting an Idol is a great little section in the REG that really allows this card to shine in the Orange arsenal.

from the REG:
Depicting an Idol
Several Redemption® cards contain special abilities that refer to cards that “depict an idol.” The following cards refer to cards that depict an idol:
•      Demon behind the Idol, Pagan Priest, Unbowed, Worshipping Demons, and Worshipper of False Gods

This includes the following cards:
•     Altar of Dagon, Asherah Pole, Captured Ark, Golden Calf, Household Idols, Jacob Buries the Foreign gods, Jeroboam's Idolatry, and Unknown Nation

Other Redemption® cards contain special abilities that refer to cards that “depict an idol or evil altar.” The following cards refer to cards that depict an idol or evil altar:
•     Pagan Priest and Worshipping Demons

The following cards depict an idol or evil altar:
•      Altar of Ahaz, Altar of Dagon, Asherah Pole, Captured Ark, Golden Calf, Household Idols, Jacob Buries the Foreign gods, Jeroboam's Idolatry, and Unknown Nation

oh wow, the evil orange thoughts that come to mind using this fortress with an Art depicting an idol activated in it......*maniacal snicker is heard fading into the underground deck building lair*

Godspeed,
Mike

I really like it except to counter the possibility people will just throw it into their decks for non demon purposes, perhaps add discard this fortress if you do not control an orange brigade demon

It's no different than people using Z's Temple in a deck without Priests.  It happens.  It's not a big deal.

Thanks guys for all your comments. ;D

I wanted to make it a temple because of ZT. If someone had a Priest/Demon deck, I wouldn't want them to be able to have, like, Assyria's Tribute, Unknown Nation, and Lampstand up all at once, you know? I agree it could be more creative....Does Temple of Demons roll off the tongue any better?...

I really like it except to counter the possibility people will just throw it into their decks for non demon purposes, perhaps add discard this fortress if you do not control an orange brigade demon
I thought of that as well, but I couldn't think of a really good way to counter it....When you think about it though, I don't think it maters too much. :dunno:

I'm thinking the holding Artifacts part is a bit over kill.  I'm not sold on the fact that it is a Fortress either because there wasn't ever a temple that was dedicated to worshiping demons, at least not from where you took the Scripture.  I very much like the special ability though.  It fits excellently with the Scripture.  Maybe it would be a good candidate for a placed Enhancement rather than a Fortress.  You could call it Demon Worship.

"Place this on your human Evil Character.  While there, protect your demons from being discarded by an opponent."
or maybe
"Set aside a human Evil Character.  While set aside, protect your demons from being discarded."

Either way I think you did a really good job.
May you prosper greatly!

Revelation 18:2
[2] And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

This passage could possibly help with a name change, if you are intereseted.

I would argue that any "Temple" that was used to worship idols, sacrifice to devils and false gods and such, could be labeled a "Demonic Temple" (generic).  :D

I might agree with that if it was even clear that they were sacrificing in a temple at all.  In looking at the Scripture it isn't clear where or how they were sacrificing to the demons.  That's why I suggested that it might work better as a placement Enhancement.

If this became a card, good luck getting past Lampstand + Asherah Pole + Unholy Writ + Household Idols.

If you are implying someone having both this and ZT in their territory, I don't think you read all of ZT's ability...or all of this thread.

I thought Bubbleboy was right... but then I looked and saw that Z-temple only allows one GOOD temple. You could still have Z-temple and his card.

Right. I'd add "Discard all Temples and Tabernacles in your territory" at the end.
