Some "Cannot Be Ignored" cards

There is a serious dearth of good "Cannot Be Ignored" cards in general, especially for OT defenses.  So...

Iron Chariots - Artifact
Judges 1:19
"Protect your Black Canaanites in territory from opponents' non-warrior class humans.  Your Black Canaanites cannot be ignored.  If your Canaanite is blocking, you may discard this to draw 2 and play an OT black enhancement."

Lost soul
(no verse yet)
"While your evil characters share a brigade and a testament, they cannot be ignored."

Treachery of Jezebel - 2/1 Brown/Black TC enhancement
(same verse)
"You may draw 1.  Place in your territory:  Your OT Brown royalty cannot be ignored.  Protect your OT Brown enhancements from discard by opponents."

*****

On further reflection, Iron Chariots' Play ability is overpowered, due to cards like Babel and Joseph in Prison.  Still, I think it would be cool if we could keep this an artifact as opposed to yet another plain-vanilla horses evil weapon.  The iron chariots were unique, compared to all other weapons in the Bible, as Judges 1:19 specifically states that the Israelites could not drive out some of the Canaanites due to their iron chariots.  Hence, why the protect and CBIg abilities.

The protect on Iron Chariots seems to pale in comparison to the one on Tower of Thebez, especially since it's so specific; though, I guess it would be useful if you're running a Canaanites/Philistines mix. I don't necessarily think it needs the protect. The power level seems fine if you were to remove that complete, otherwise adding a small effect instead wouldn't be the worst I don't think.

I like the other 2 cards, though I don't know how often the discard protection on Treachery will actually be useful. I don't think OT Brown really places that many enhancements, lol. It's usually just Samaria/decrease abuse.

I really like all three of those. I don't think the Play ability on Iron Chariots makes it overpowered, since you have to discard it.

I love the Lost Soul.

Treachery of Jezebel is cool, although not terribly useful now, I really like the idea of Brown getting more place enhancements (and maybe some weapons) that would make this card better (I actually had a really cool idea for the post Solomon Kings and Queens of Judah, that would have a couple of really cool place enhancements)

I agree that we need an OT Cannot Be Ignored card like Golgotha is for NT.  I would prefer to see a generic one like Golgotha instead of ones for particular civilizations.  I have some thoughts on this, but will post that separately when I hammer it out.

On the cards, I agree with you that Iron Chariots is OP, even if you have to discard it.  D2+Play on an artifact, plus the options that Black has to play, is probably a bit much.  I also feel this one does not fit with a need as much, since they already have protection through Tower (even if that doesn't grant CBiG).

Love the lost soul, a lot.  That's a great anti-ignore concept generally.

On Treachery, some people don't know how much 'place' is in Brown, that'd be a fun card.

I also love the soul, it is an outstanding idea.  The art is cool, I am with browrod that the protection isn't necessary.  I am not as worried about the d2 play because you then lose the CBIG.

Treachery is better then it's getting credit, GoJ, Treachery or Jez and CWD is capable of hammering a ton of offenses.  Could be so much fun.

The problem with Tower is that it holds the Canaanites it protects, so it is vulnerable to ASA, Foreign Sword, Shipwreck, etc.

Also, don't forget that protection from non-warrior class characters means Gomer/MoS/SoT/etc. can't band to your Canaanites, Meeting the Messiah/ANC will probably not be able to target them, AoCP will only work if played on a WC Purple king, etc.

I think the lost soul could be: While your evil characters share the same OT Book, and are no more than 2 brigades, they cannot be ignored.

I think the lost soul could be: While your evil characters share the same OT Book, and are no more than 2 brigades, they cannot be ignored.

You could do that, but I think it would limit the playability of the Lost Soul, and it's not like Lost Souls are terribly good cards for special abilities anyway, since the main purpose of the game is to rescue them. They don't have the staying power or the searchability of other cards (sure there are a few cards that can bring them out, but those are usually used on your opponent), and having them out usually means your opponent can rescue them.

Also there are themes often split between books so by limiting it to individual books might be too narrow. As for the brigades I actually like it better with all of them sharing one brigade, since you can have a bunch of, for example, Pale Green Magicians, some of which are also Orange, or Crimson, or Gold without making this card useless, also it wouldn't be able to work with Foreign Wives, Foreign Spearmen or Self.

Not that your suggestion wouldn't be a decent choice if your deck fit those requirements, but it won't be a good counter to ignore.
