I like this idea it gives you a counter to Covenant with Death and allows you to bring it back if it is hit with cards like Destruction of Nehushtan or Pierced Heart. Would be really nice in a deck with The Holy Spirit!

You need to define the "it" in the second ability.  Right now its ambiguous as to whether you under deck the covenant or the evil card.

Fixed.  Trying to keep the ability as short as possible - let me know if I need to phrase the second sentence "If this is targeted...".
