I think this idea could be very interesting, though perhaps you could give it a little more depth.  Consider that Cornelius was the man who helped Paul begin his ministry to the Gentiles (specifically the Romans), and that he was in a position to spread the gospel.  He was also a warrior, and I think including other WC heroes (like the other Centurions) is good, but the Angels were involved in his story as well (including coming to him personally).  So, why not this:

Cornelius
May band to a Roman to draw X (limit 3).  Cannot be negated.
X = Number of your NT Warrior-Class Heroes

First, banding to any Roman is a great ability that is still rather limited without serious conversion help (almost all Roman heroes are not used in most decks for a reason, but could possibly see use with this ability).  Also, it would allow him to band to a converted Paul, which makes sense given the story.  Finally, expanding X to include all NT WC heroes (Soldier of God, Michael, TSA, and then the AW angels that don't get much use) would pull in the idea that angels were involved.

I think a reprint is a good idea, regardless ;)

EDIT: Added the limit back in to the X, forgot to keep that...too powerful if you leave it out honestly.

I love the idea of this, and I also think Redoubter's suggestion would be a good rewrite for it.

I've liked the newer Centurions every since they were printed but I just haven't had the desire to make a red deck for them. I would totally make one if this was printed. :P

For it being Cornelius it seems kind of underwhelming. Idk that's just my opinion. I feel like you need more N.T. red warriors before you add someone like this to the theme.

I've heard of them taking ideas from the boards, I don't know of any specific posts that turned directly into cards.  Browarod has several card ideas for magicians including an artifact which I think would be awesome.  I also really like the idea behind these. Too bad Simon the Zealot wasn't printed as WC.

I think there's only been one card that was actually taken from the boards (Scribe). There have been some ideas adopted (as I recall, something akin to toss was discussed and there was a dual-alignment character not unlike King Abijam).
ANB is good. Change my mind.

Love playing red, was the first real offense I used, but as stated, not much use in competitive play. Like the idea and the boost.

I think the combination Roman Soldier's Faith and Roman Jailer is a touch strong. A recurring battlewinner was bad enough with Isaiah. At least this isn't CBN.

Isaiah's  is cbn and can draw a ton roman jailer can draw one or search discard pile isaiah can do both so i do not think it is to strong.

None of Isaiah's can both negate/interrupt and win the battle, either.  This one is "negate and discard an evil card", which is far more powerful, I think that is the point he's trying to make.  You are correct that the recursion is much less powerful (he must band to do so, it is not CBN, it does not let him draw X, etc.), but there is a point about it's power.

How is it OP you can band to 2 never to rarely used heroes to draw 1 or search discard pile for one card that isn't as good as MLMG JBP SE or a bunch of other cards and RSF can only be used by a roman and theres only 5 including my new card ideas im' sorry i am just having a hard time seeing where the card is to powerful and if it is what should i take off of it. :)

Inb4 new brigade discussions

I seem to recall a previous discussion about a tan brigade for martyrs/other NT heroes. Can't find it right now, though. Did you find it, or was this your idea? Great minds are known to think alike.

I like the ideas, but the downside of new brigades is that it would require a new set the size of Priests, or else a Disciples-size set with nothing but the new brigade in it, otherwise it would start out at a competitive disadvantage. Cactus doesn't seem to have the capital to create a set like that (though Prof Underwood's thread asking for support seemed to indicate there was potential for financial assistance from the community).

That said, Silas to Paul with Preaching to Rome is a CBN battle winner that can be recurred every turn (and interrupts the battle). That's a bit too powerful.

Well, as he said, it is too powerful to Silas-band to Paul-recur Preaching to Rome-ITB convert EC CBN every single turn.  It would be more balanced if the convert was to territory, but that band-recur is too much if you want to print any other halfway-decent enhancements.  Get rid of the band or the recur or Silas, and that'll help balance it.

And unfortunately, others are right, we'd need a Priests-size set of cards in a new brigade to make it useful, though the concepts here are a start ;)
