How about something like this: "Protect Lost Souls and artifacts from evil cards. Cannot be negated." and make it a temple artifact.

I dunno. Like the idea in general.

Making it un-DON-able and un-CA-able? I dunno, I thought it was perfectly balanced simply because it was still susceptible to those cards...

Thinking about it, the original card would probably be really good in T2, and still playable in T1, so it probably doesn't need much more. The CBN I think caps it off nicely though.

Only during the Battle Phase (and seriously, why would you let it live that long). It can already be made DoN and CA free by Nazzy and Lampy/Temple.
