Tithe Teal/Green/Clay
* Reveal top 10 cards of deck. Reserve this card to take one, (potential ability after the comma, it could be just this) place the rest beneath deck.
SA TC: Interrupt the battle. Regardless of protection, set aside all cards in battle. Start a new rescue attempt.
The star ability is very strong so you offset that a tiny bit by revealing the top ten to opponent. To further offset the strength of the card you would have to put everything revealed on the bottom. I wanted to say discard a card from hand but I didn't want to infer that Tithing discards anything theologically. I am weary about how easy it is to reserve Tithe after use and immediately topdeck it and do it again next turn, but hey, have you seen the new set?
I love set aside side battle cards. These are fun to play but also go along with the idea of tithing as setting something aside for the greater good. You set aside everything and then make a new rescue attempt, kind of 'tithey' if you ask me. I love the idea of a Tithe reprint, and I think there needs to be one. You might not need to make this green, but definitely clay, and I also like teal. I added green due to the original card but also because I wanted to give it three colors. I am primarily a T2 player so I would love this to be clay/teal only...
Anyway, you get to ItB, set everything aside, then make a new rescue attempt which a lot of people don't play with these kinds of cards, and I understand why, but with this star ability and the interrupt the battle people can see the strategic advantage to these cards as well as how fun they are. You get to activate more special abilities and if you can bait the opponent's best evil character into battle, or someone you can't get around, even if they are protected, and then make a new rescue attempt. This is not a battle winner but the star ability provides a very large advantage to see the top ten, a huge chunk of a deck in T1, heck even in T2 it can be more than a tenth of the deck in the opening hand. In T1 with a 50 card deck Tithe in the opening hand will look at well over 20% of your deck and allow you to take a card. Maybe add, put lost souls into play, I don't know.
