Title: Benaiah
Post by: Josh on June 22, 2016, 11:48:33 AM
Benaiah
8/8 Red WC hero
Same verse
"Take a weapon or discard an animal.  If all your heroes are warrior-class and/or kings, prevent enhancements and non-warrior class characters (except weapons and OT Red enhancements).  Cannot be interrupted."

I'd argue that if you have a WC AND a King in territory, he doesn't work. Might want to do and/or.

Agreed, and updated.

I love it, Benaiah is one of the coolest characters in the Bible. One quick thing that I thought would be cool was if Benaiah could steal the warrior class enhancement and use it immediately. Something like "Discard an animal. Holder may take a weapon, convert it to red, and place on Benaiah. If all your heroes are warrior-class and/or kings, prevent enhancements and non-warrior class characters (except weapons and OT Red enhancements).  Cannot be interrupted."

The problem with this is Benaiah, as I've proposed him, is already a very powerful hero.  Also, his ability is already pretty long.  Taking, and then converting/using weapon, is awesome, especially with how it reflects Benaiah in the Bible.  I just don't think it's best from a power/ability length point of view.

Last part could be: prevent characters and enhancements (except warrior class, weapons, and OT red enhancements). Might be more streamlined and clear.  Really strong ability though on its own to cap a banding chain, since it only prevents the EC for characters and leaves your battle winners alone.

You mean kinda like Cloud Moses?   ;)

Moses only excludes his cloud support, more limited, and prevent rather than negate is going to be stronger in this case since it allows more heroes to get in without being negated.

True story, a form of this ability appeared on a cloud card before we realized how long the ability gets. First person that guesses which card gets a cloud pack redeemable at nationals

Jonesy is quick on the draw, but Guardian is also correct. I'll get to work on that for next week

Was it just a plain David that was a bunch of colors and straight boss?

one idea i thought of for david was a 12/12 wc red/green/purple/white character who could cbn band to any OT wc hero. probably too op but meh, still cool.
