Balaam and/or Balak getting curses?

I cannot claim authorship of this, as I did a search first and already saw a King Balak card idea that I agree with.

If ever there was an Evil Character that should be able to search for a Curse card, surely this is the one.  Balak wanted to hire Ballam to curse the Israelites.  It didn't work, but here we literally have a character "searching for a curse" in the scriptures.

Has this ability just been deemed to powerful to print?

Why don't you present an idea of the card you want to print. Then we can decide whether it's OP. If the ability is just "search for a curse," then no, I don't think that's OP.

I would have presented it, but it was already presented by someone else.  I'm just voicing my approval :)

King Balak (numbers and brigade whatever seems best) - Search deck for a curse card and add to hand.  May band to Balaam.

I think that is close to what it was before.  Thanks!

King Balak 8/8 WC EC
"Search deck for a curse and put in hand or activate it on an evil prophet."

Discarding an evil card from hand seems best, in keeping with the story.  He did attempt this several times, and the discarding of a card from hand could be all the money/gifts he offered Balaam for his services.

That'd work.

King Balak 8/8 WC EC
"Discard a card with numbers 3/3 or higher to search deck for a curse and put in hand or activate it on an evil prophet."

activating ANOTHER artifact... no, this seems crazy. Then you can have Unholy Writ, Go Into Captivity, and Household idols all at once.  ;D

Not to mention possibly Magic Charms if you throw a Magician in there for fun.

And yet one artifact would make that all useless (Blue tassles)

I don't know why the cost needs to be so high.  We let heroes like Eli the Priest and Maji get artifacts for free :)  I would just say discard a card to search for a curse, in my opinion.  This way there is a cost, but not so specific.  How many people even use enhancements of 3/3 or higher anymore? :)

actualy discarding a card 3/3 or higher is a lower costs than an evil enhacement.

That could be charectsers and good cards. Then COFalong with other cards can recur what was discared making it cheap but slowing down your deck a bit

I see your point now.  Yeah, I'd be fine with either, but the concept of King Balak discarding a character still doesn't seem as "biblical" as discarding an enhancement :)

I meant an EE with 3/3 or more (He tried to curse the Israelites 3 times.)
King Balak 8/8 WC EC
"Discard a evil enhancement with numbers 3/3 or higher to search deck for a curse and put in hand or activate it on an evil prophet."

Okay, that would never be used. How many 3/3 or higher enhancements are there? I say, just make it any card, or maybe any non-character or something.

How about evil cards totalling 6 ability points or more?
