Herod Help

I been looking into Josephus for some stuff to help out the Herods since they are good but are lacking certain things that can make them great.

Herod Conquers Jerusalem Gold X/X
If used by a Herod, Interrupt the battle and discard a Fortress, Site, or good enhancement. Cannot be negated
Identifier:  X= number of WC Evil Characters in battle.
When he had thus married Mariamne, he came back to Jerusalem with a greater army. Sosius also joined him with a large army. Josephus The War of the Jews Book 1

Herod’s Chariots and Horses 2/2 WC Gold
Interrupt the battle and draw two. If used by a Herod you may play a withdraw enhancement. Cannot be negated.
He marched himself along Phoenicia; and when the whole army was gotten together, which were eleven regiments of footmen, and six thousand horsemen Josephus The War of the Jews Book 1

Herod’s Palace Evil Fortress.
Protect N.T. Evil Royalty in your Territory from Discard and Conversion. If all your Evil Characters are N.T. Evil Royalty you may discard a captured hero or play the first enhancement.
For these were not burnt by the Romans, but by these internal plotters, as we have already related, in the beginning of their rebellion. That fire began at the tower of Antonia, and went on to the palaces, and consumed the upper parts of the three towers themselves. Josephus The War of the Jews Book 5

Herod's Army 10/10 Gold
Army, Generic
May band to a Herod to discard a card from opponent's hand, territory or set aside area. Cannot be prevented.

Antipater I the Idumaean Gold 9/8 WC
Identifier: Evil Royalty
You may place an evil card from hand beneath deck to search deck for a Herod and add to battle. Cannot be prevented.

Like. Gold's best way to bag a Fortress, or a CBN Negate to throw at the Garden ladies (or MLaMG on not-Thomas). I'd make it in play or set-aside to give it the extra edge it needs to be playable as the only thing that could target Chamber.

Yawn. How about "You may play an Enhancement with a Withdraw ability or Discard a Captured Character. Cannot be Negated if used by a Herod?"

Herod’s Palace Evil Fortress.
Protect N.T. Evil Royalty in your Territory from Discard and Conversion. Herods gain first strike ability.

Eh. Their protection comes from the N.T. Sites. Good find, but it could use a cooler ability (especially since First Strike wouldn't make much sense on Herods).

Add him to hand or battle and you have a winner.

Overall, these would make Herods extremely playable. If I had realized the kinds of decks that would be populating the top tables this year, I'd have been tempted to use Herods in a heartbeat. These cards would further solidify their role as the premier FbtNB counters and I'd love them for it.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Thanks I am glad that you liked them. The protection on palace is so you can play YOUR AoCP without killing your own men. Also I guess Chariots can have the draw two still so they can use their cards or wonders forgotten to block. I'll update them later today after my classes today.
