I'd reword as follows to be the "builder" of the OT WC offense:

"You may exchange a good card in hand with an OT Warrior-Class hero or OT weapon of matching brigade in deck, discard pile, or Reserve.  May band to an OT warrior class human."

Unfortunately, your iteration and mine both boost Throne offenses, since you can exchange for Saul or David and then band to them immediately...

Nope.  My point was, the best card or theme doesn't always win Nats   ;)

Just because they are the strongest doesn't mean someone can't beat them. All decks have counters, it's just how well can you get to those counters.

If you and I play 10 games in a row with the same decks each time, and you win 9 of them, was your deck the best deck?  If so, how did you lose a game?    ;)

Every deck has a probability of winning against every other deck, and even if the percentage is like 70%-30%, that still means the weaker deck wins 3 out of every 10 games.  (And for top-tier decks piloted by top-tier players, the percentage will probably stay within the 45%-55% range)

It's simply my opinion that right now, the Throne engine is part of the best decks.  Particularly because a "BoM-lite" offense can easily be paired with a Throne offense while still having room for a decent defense.

I understand your points. That's why this card only targets the d/c pile and reserve. Getting your heroes back from the d/c pile is nothing new and I'll admit this card does that pretty fast and in battle but it can be negated, has a cost, and has the same weaknesses that throne offenses share. The main intent of this card was reserve access and a way to recur enhancements since red and ot. Purple doesn't have a lot of that.

Red does have A Soldier's Prayer, but in general I like the idea.

I could also see something like this being fun:

"If banded into battle, protect the banding Hero from opponent's cards until this Hero is removed from battle. Cannot be interrupted."

Doesn't really make sense to me that Armorbearer could get Heroes and evil Enhancements (outside of weapons) from the discard pile.

I like jmhartz's suggestion, but I would rather not have another O.T. WC Hero in the endless banding chain. :P

True, getting heroes out isn't thematic but come on. The band gotta stay and we could have a new red banding heroes with updated abilities.
