Okay I really like archers and I don't like the fact that the only one that is a hero is gold... why not red? So instead of making a carbon copy of Isrealite Archer I thought of these: (admitably not my best ideas)

Judean Archer
Type: Hero • Brigade: Red • Ability: 3/5 • Class: Warrior  • Special Ability: May band to a red warrior class Hero. If holding a bow you may discard a warrior class Evil Character in a territory but then discard the bow at the end of battle. • Identifiers: Generic • Verse: 2 Samuel 1: 18 •
-And-
Bow and Arrow
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 3/2 • Class: Weapon • Special Ability: None • Identifiers: None • Verse: 2 Samuel 1: 18 •

-OR-
Istead of the hero just have this:
Bow and Arrow
Type: Hero Enh. • Brigade: Red • Ability: 3/2 • Class: Weapon • Special Ability: Discard Bow and Arrow to discard an Evil Character in a territory• Identifiers: None • Verse: 2 Samuel 1: 18 •

I kind of like it, except the no ability cards aren't really printed anymore due to their limited usefulness. The different way for an archer to work is interesting, though. Maybe tweak it to be...

we need to use the weapons more often, maybe making an archer that searches deck for a weapon and puts in your hand...

I like Arch Angel's idea, why I had the no S\A Bow and Arrow was because of all 7 different Bow and Arrow cards only one of them is warrior class and it's gray, thus making it hard for him to be "holding a bow"

And, Yeah I was also trying to think of an Arrow of Deliverance remake; one thing though, is it possible to word an identifier that allows a hero to hold both a Bow and AoD?

Maybe something like "May be held simultaneously with a Bow enhancement"? There's no precedent for it, so as long as it sounds good you should just go with it, lol.

I wish there was a way to say "except a human evil character holding armor"
Armor would mean either armor or sheild "weapons", but unfortuantly everything is all just a "weapon" and that'd be a little to hard.

Maybe you should specify warrior class, because why would you need "shield" or "armor" when you already have warrior class weapons and armor?

this Weapon/Non-Weapon bow stuff can be solved by adding the identifier

"May Retain Any Enhancement With "Bow(s)" or "Arrow(s)" in the Title as a weapon. May Hold 1 Weapon."

Then you wouldn't be able to equip it before the battle so you can discard it when you enter battle.

What I'm saying is why do we need this when we already have weapon class/warrior class?

Otherwise the idea is pretty appealing.

Because these weapons are specific to Archers, which the OP wanted to bolster.

Also with Philistines being a budding civ, they should make a classic Philistine Archer using 1Ch 10:3,

And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers. 1 Ch 10:3
