I was wondering would it be better to start the game with 6,5,4,3, or 2 cards of your choice or the normal random 8?
Basically, the alternate game rule is to select 4 cards of your choice to start the game and then shuffle your deck. Your opponent draws 8 cards like normal. Then you start the game like normal.
Is 4 balanced? Would you need to add something like "After shuffling, reveal the top 8 cards of your deck and place any lost souls in play."? or
"For each card that you select over 2, (maximum 6) place one of your lost souls into your territory."
The Dominant idea is similar but slightly different (with more possible variations).
Good Dominant
"If you play this in your prep phase, discard your hand (minimum 8 cards) to search your deck for 6 cards except Dominants. Then skip your battle phase this turn."
To be balanced, should it search for more/less, discard more/less, shuffle or remove cards in your hand instead, etc... ?
I like the idea for situations where you know your deck has the cards you need but you just can't seem to get them - site access, anti-bbtn, a hero, a evil character, raider's camp, etc...
