Amos + Basket of Ripe Fruit Enhancement

For ages now I've been going mad bonkers trying to come up with ideas for Amos and Basket of Ripe Fruit, but now I've finally got some cards made. I forgot that the other week I had already made a version of each and did another version of each today, so I have posted both versions here. I hope you like what I've done (there are still some kinks and things like wording and mechanics I'm not quite satisfied with, but we can work them out together). Please tell me what you think!

(Ps I am starting a shepherds mini-theme as well, so look out for possible future concept cards such as shepherds watch, and maybe a reprint of the generic blue 7/6 e/f starters hero "Shepherd" with white brigade this time, possibly different numbers and an ability? )

Thanks again guys, and I hope those lucky ducks who happen to live in America where all the action is and are attending Nationals this year have a wonderful time of fellowship and Redemption awesomeness!   :)

On of the problems with these cards is the existence of Hidden Treasures.  With either version of Amos and Basket of Ripe Fruit v.1, you could play 3 enhancements before the opponent had a chance to do anything.

Also, Amos v.1 has a reusable CtB ability.  CtB abilities that can target your own ECs have always been limited to once per game.

Basket of Ripe Fruit v.2 gets kinda messy if you reveal your own deck and choose to draw while your deck cards are revealed.

Unfortunately, I think all 4 of these cards exceed the power threshold that the playtesters would allow  :(  Playing enhancements straight from discard, CtB, drawing, plus battlewinning/territory destruction is just too much.

One other thing, for the moment we've decided to move away from using abilities that interact with cards "based on prophecy" as it's simply too open to interpretation what cards are based on prophecy and which are not.

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Yeah, these are fair points that I haven't considered, and a lot of these ideas are a little messy in the form they are in, I agree. Are there any points within the card's abilities that you think might be able to work when taken in a different direction? Would there be any ideas other people might have for the cards abilities?

I know it's not the most important thing in the world right now as Nats gets under way, but the more I learn about the game and it's mechanics the better I'll get at it. Also, I prefer Amos v2 anyway, I'm not too crazy about a choose the blocker Amos anymore, it was just an idea that really has no direction to begin with. I do believe however that there is enough stuff here to think about and work on in order to make two really good cards. Any pointers and suggestions on how to improve here would be greatly appreciated and met with much enthusiasm! 😄

One other thing, for the moment we've decided to move away from using abilities that interact with cards "based on prophecy" as it's simply too open to interpretation what cards are based on prophecy and which are not.

And that is a fair point too. This card definitely needs to be worded differently. Basket of Ripe Fruit is an enhancement I've wanted for a while, but have only just read and studied it recently. Ps, although I like coming up with obscure ideas, 'based on prophecy' does muddy the waters a bit and make it difficult, so I know obscure ideas won't really take off very well here. I do enjoy simplicity in gaming. Less confusion, more fun!
