Elijah's Victory

6/0 Purple/Green Hero Enhancement

If used by a prophet, convert a human evil character in your territory to a hero in the brigade of your choice to discard all false prophets and magicians in play.  Cannot be negated.

"And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said, 'The Lord, He is God; The Lord, He is God.'  Then Elijah said to them, 'Seize the prophets of Baal; do not let one of them escape!'  So they seized them; and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there."  1 Kings 18:39-40

Seems like a pretty well made card.  But magicians are just getting started up imo and to make a card that discards them all and CBN doesn't help them at all.

Well, it has the added cost of converting your own human EC, and in the context CBN seemed pretty appropriate.

I think the target is a little too specific, and prophets don't have any particular problem with Magicians anyway. The cost seems high enough that you could broaden the target a little, and then take off the CBN.

I thought about that, but broadening the number of target ECs, even by removing the CBN, can lead to Hidden Treasures, Ethiopian Treasurer, or Saul/Paul abuse, in my opinion.  And in the contect of this passage I wouldn't know what other ECs to include anyway.  Keep in mind that I usually don't try to make cards that become staples in every deck of matching brigade, because it kills deck diversity.

But someday someone might really be frustrated by his friend's Magicians defense and then stumble across this very helpful card :)

I wouldn't consider converting my Huge Egyptian/Egyptian Spear a "cost".

Very cool.  Make it work for you and have that Huge Egyptian "seize" all the false prophets!  But I say "cost" because unlike AOCP, there are two conditions that have to be met first - 1) Prophet, and 2) Having an EC in your territory that you can convert (and don't mind doing so).

I'm wondering why it's purple....haven't most of the prophets been released/reprinted in green (except for the angel ones, obviously)?

Accounting for reprints that probably won't happen for 10+ years every time we make a card. Solid idea bro.

Yeah, something in me thought that Elijah SHOULD be able to play Elijah's Victory :)  On a more serious note, this also allows some purple apostles and "prophet kings" like David and Solomon to play it too.

I would like it if it were Green. Green is the Prophet brigade now, not Purple. Redemption has a history of anachronisms involving Elijah anyway. Also, does it not seem highly likely to you that a set which would include a card called "Elijah's Victory" would also include an Elijah reprint in his proper Brigade?
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

It is because you username is some kittens that makes the next set to be kittens? That would be so cool.
