uummm....... that's.... I don't even know. It kills all OT decks, and destroys all site lock outs. we'd have a thousand luke offenses or white women.. which both are all ready pretty stacked.

I like the Idea of a Holy Spirit dom... but not so much the s/a.

Or that might work if there new were a ruling that there couldn't  be two doms in a territory... so you'd have to choose between GoYS ( i know its LoR.. but.. still..) and HS. and give HS the line "Discard this card if an LS falls away, or a hero converted"

Like juhnkect said, it kills all OT offenses, sitelock defenses, and also demon defenses, which is definitely OP. How about this: "Place in your territory. While a NT human Hero is in battle, negate special abilities on Lost Souls and Demons." That way it wouldn't totally destroy any themes, it could be used by both players, and it wouldn't be too powerful.

Yes it would, too many cards target demons already, I also don't use the usefulness of NT humans negating LS sa's.

Too Powerful, maybe we can add like after one successful rescue by owner, discard this card. That way people can only use it once, and yes, desecrate the temple and also use on it. Because it will definitely kill site lock out and O.T decks. Even we can make it all prophets, or something else, it is just too unfair for people playing O.T. I mean I played every single deck, and I felt there are always some disadvantage. Thank you.

Not only is the card too powerful, it is not biblical. You are going on the asumption that the Holy Spirit was not in existance until Pentecost (Shavuot in Hebrew).

"Gen 1:2  And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

This is the creation of the world and the Holy Spirit is there, moving about working in the creation. I really like the idea of this card but I think it should be powered down a bit and give benifits to both O.T. and N.T. heros.

There is also the argument that the Glory of the Lord is the same as the Holy Spirit. That would make 2 dominants of the same being and they could not be in the same deck (I think). I don't know how many people would argue it this way, but I do know alot of people (even bible professors) who interpret the scripture this way.

Just an idea, let's see what you guys think

Holy Spirit

Good Dominant

Place on any Hero in play, as long as this card remains, protect Hero from capture or conversion.
Hero has access to any site and can play enhancements from any brigade until Hero or HS is discarded.

1Sa 10:6  And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
Act 2:4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

2 References to explain both abilities.

Hero is "turned into another man" giving him access to all sites (all brigades)
Speaking with other tonges allows them to use any good enhancement.

just thinking

So, if Glory of the Lord is the same as the Holy Spirit, and the trinity teaches that Jesus (Son of God) is the same as the Holy Spirit......

Warrior, I had no intent to make you angry, it is just that I run into people all the time that say that the Holy Spirit is a New Testament being and that is just not biblical. I may have worded my argument poorly and for that, I apologize.

In regards to my version being overpowered..... Holy Spirit only works on one hero and does not protect from discard or removal. All it takes is Christian Martyr and HS is gone. FBTN could be a major problem for this Hero because his enhancements can still be negated (Mostly). There are also plenty of can't be negated removals and discards for evil brigades.

In regards to the Trinity issue...... I more firmly believe that it is more scriptural to say that it is not a "trinity" at all (Trinity implies 3 gods working for one goal) instead I view it more as the Triune Nature of the One God we serve (God presenting himself in 3 distinct forms with all 3 forms being the same God). It really isn't that much different of a belief. To me it just seems difficult to say we serve one God if we say there are 3 different beings we worship. I don't want to ruffle any feathers or make people angry here on the boards because all these things are details and as long as we believe Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Mochiach) and Him Crucified and we proclaim Him as Savior, we are all brothers and sisters. The rest is merely details.

I hope this is accepted in the manner it is intended, not as an attack on anyone's faith or beliefs, simply my 2 cents (and that is probably what it is worth). My apologies if I offend in myself.

Let's keep anything further off the boards, if you wish to discuss this with me please pm me.

Thanks

Not only is the card too powerful, it is not biblical.
Acts 2:4 is.....................apocryphal?

Well, you live and learn...I guess

I was saying that the Holy Spirit being a card for New Testament Heros only was the non biblical part.
It is well documented that the Holy Spirit has filled believers for thousands of years. To make the power of the Holy spirit only available to heros who came along after the book of Malachai seems unfair at the very least.

Look in Judges, for instance, there are at least 7 references there. One of these references is to Gideon being filled with the Spirit of the Lord and blowing a Ram's horn. I was not trying to spark a debate or anger anyone. I just deal on a daily basis with people who say the Holy Spirit did no work until Acts chapter 2. I was worried that a card like this in it's original incarnation would spark more of those ideas. Again, if Kevin offends you, I apologize. If the Word of God offends...........
