Title: some various Reprints.
Post by: Red Wing on February 21, 2012, 03:39:48 PM
A new Creation gives NT Gold some help by discarding a demon (one of their weaknesses), along with fitting into NT Gold's forced draw theme. The "If all your heroes are gold" part prevents TGT abuse. Othniel & Humility of Moses are both long over-due reprints. Humility of Moses would be fun for some FBTNB. Destroying the Temple gives forts a counter. It should be a Crimson Curse.
What do you think?

It's not really forced draw if the opponent gets to choose. ;)
Other than that, and the fact that the card is really wordy, I like it. Though, I don't know of any gold heroes that are commonly run with TGT (except maybe if it's WaterGarden) so idk if you really need the stipulation at the end. I'd almost say it would be better as just straight up CBP rather than a conditional CBI (not that you'd want to be playing it during battle anyway).

Definitely remove the "may" from the draw ability.

I'm actually inclined to agree with this. I like the earlier statement that it only works if all your heroes are gold. I'd do something like this: "If used by a NT hero and all your heroes are gold, discard a demon or convert an evil character to a gold brigade hero. Opponent must draw a card. Cannot be prevented."

So now Gold has MtM and this? It could be a problem...
That was what I was going to say. Having two different territory-class enhancements to convert is a bit scary. Sure, many defenses have conversion protection (site/fortress), but a little OP (especially in T2) to have that for the theme.
Agreed, and unlike previous posters, I have seen NT gold and TGT played together more than I'd like to and it is already scary enough when it decreases your brigades in play. I'd actually prefer to see something like this restricted to if all of your heroes are gold (or NT gold) like before.
Just my two cents, but I do like the concept at least...just not combined with other stuff already out there :D

I don't think having a second conversion territory class enhancement is a big deal, especially with the limitation that all heroes in play must be gold. Gold isn't strong as a standalone offense right now anyway (even Judges splash Angels in), so I think it should be okay.

Well I think the abuse with TGT would be very limited with the restriction about the gold brigade, though I do think 4x this and 4x MtM in type II could be a little abusable, but I don't think it's too bad.
Come on guys let Luke get a good boost (my opinion might be biased as I'm like the only guy who likes to run straight Luke in type I)

I'm actually using it in an anti-meta deck I'm building.

So with everybody switching to antimeta decks, wouldn't that make anti the new meta? ???

I'm actually helping someone build an anti-anti-meta deck right now. ::)

Wait, YOU are running STRAIGHT LUKE, after all the trouble you gave me for doing so?

I'm using it with Abom, and I'd never use it competitively. ;)

It would be a lot better if you put them in separate spoiler tags.
done.

Humility of Moses is too powerful. Soul generation that gets around both Naz and Blue Tassels, plus a CBN broad-target band is too much.
Othniel has the opposite problem; he doesn't seem to have very much oomph at all. I'd rather use the 4/4 so I could have Sam's Edict and get more kills off Judge's Seat.

Humility is fine now, but Othniel is now too good XD Put his numbers back and he'd probably be ok.

If I remember correctly, Othenil delivered them from the Canaanites not Babylonians. So why have him immune to Babylonians?

Quote
Judges 3
10 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.
Babylon was an ancient city in central-southern Mesopotamia. Thus, he is immune to Babylonians.

Like I said if I remember correctly. I wasn't 100% sure I was right

Otheniel is way to OP. I'd drop the CBI Enhancements, and change the release all Captured Heroes to 'Release a Captured Hero' and make that 'Negate an Evil Fortress or Release a Captured Hero' that would even it out, I think.

Destroying the Temple is a total win I really like it. :)

I can see Destroying Temple becoming a staple if it gets made like it is now
